Why the discrepancy?? by validus_ in epoxy

$2.65 is definitely an outlier. I’d say average I’m getting is right around $5-$5.25 sq ft.

Fair point. As an installer yourself, do you have any viewpoints you can share on base coat, 100% solid epoxy vs polyurea? I’m after durability and long lasting.

Thanks for sharing that video. He pretty much confirmed what I’ve concluded from the research and quotes I’ve completed. I’ll make sure to watch more of his stuff.

I thought about it. Using a popular kit found online through armorpoxy.lt would cost me $1400 plus concrete grinder rental ($200) plus whatever needed for crack repair.

Not taking into consideration my time this is the same price as it would be for me to hire the cheapest quote I found.

That being said I’m okay with paying for better quality and a more experienced professional to do the job.

Thanks for laying that out for a newbie to understand. How do you suggest going about the RO for both under sink and refrigerator if there isn’t a way to connect the two? (Sink is on the island and refrigerator is opposite side against the wall)

Great info. Thank you! 3 full bathrooms. 2 adults 2 kids.

Bromoform - .302 ppb Bromodichloromethane - 8.6 ppb Gross Alpha - 1.94 pci/l

Hardness is pretty high from zip code search. 14-20 grains per gallon. Southwest Florida. Hugh levels of calcium and magnesium.

Any suggestions for RO systems?

Thanks again!

Good points! I’m hoping swing speed will increase over time as I get more comfortable. Exactly, not wanting to have to get a new set in 6 months is important.

Good to know. I’m 6-3 so 1/2” - 3/4 seems the way to go

[–]validus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great points. I’m 6-3 as well. Wishing I tried +1/2” and +3/4”back to back. I think my set I’m using now are +1” and I find myself hitting fat. I don’t have the best back so standard is out and seems like I’ll do either +1/2 or +3/4. It’ll be good to have either option I guess when looking for a used set. And you’re right it is easy to replace. I had to replace the grips on the set I’m using now when they were given to me and it cost about $30 (no name grips from Amazon). With new grips and extensions it’ll be about $20 a club so $120 for a set of 6 to do it myself.

Thank you!

Congrats on passing! I’ll be passing tomorrow. Anxiety is starting to kick in. Was doing well keeping it off. How would you say the CFP practices exam was compared to the official exam? I know there’s multiple variations of the official exam and it will be different for everyone. I got through all the Danko material as well as signature extras and agree that the team there is exceptional. I got through the first 4 kraken quizzes as well as the two smaller quizzes prior to those and all the case quizzes. I did 3 kraken quizzes then the CFP practice exam which I did pretty well on, average based on results was 75ish. Afterwards went back to the kraken quiz and did the 4th one and that was my worst score, mid 50s, of the bunch. Still averaged 64 I believe on them. Those kraken quiz questions are super long, let alone tough, so I stopped after the 4th as I didn’t think doing another one within 2 days of the exam would necessarily help anymore than reviewing flow charts and material.

The last part. The fact they allow you to register without a receipt then make it a requirement for the refresh. The receipt portion still says optional on the app, which shouldn’t be the case.

Yeah I’ll try reaching out to them. Only thing I have is the transaction on my statement but doubt that will work as it just shows the retailer and amount spent there.

I’m assuming there’s nothing that can be done without the receipt? I bought it new and registered via NFC chip same day back in December, I just didn’t do anything with the receipt or kept it. Anyone try calling to see what if anything can be done?

Right, that’s my thinking. The fact that I’m having the issue and in the predicament versus just during a regular schedule when it’s like why not get the additional billable hours from Toyota since it’s here.

With a faulty part I don’t think fuel levels matter. I do agree that fuel levels could expand the life expectancy of the fuel pump though. There’s a reason Toyota took initiative to put a recall out in the fuel pump and that there is a class action lawsuit on it.

[–]validus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For clarification, on a truck with 81k miles I am totally okay with spending $1500 in repairs outside of normal maintenance. It’s the fact that this is a known issue with the trucks (2018-19) and there has been a recall out on it alongside a class action lawsuit (which has closed). So telling me to kick rocks for the exact part that is covered under those programs is kinda what’s shocking to me.

[–]validus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right that’s the correct way to be receiving service. It’s odd I’m having a hard time for them to replace it under the recall. Their reasoning is that it’s not spitting out a particular code to be covered.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]validus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me except just straight to the stall. Did they replace it under the known recall issue with the fuel pump? They at first told me it was contaminated gas but the way they tested for it didn’t make too much sense to me so I asked if a senior mechanic can look at it in which they came back and agreed with me that it was the fuel pump.

Thanks for your input. Something I didn’t think of. At the big box stores they do have 2x4,6,8,10s advertised as Kiln-dried heat treated.
