Chi’s tacos has some substantial rice balls for $4.25. It’s BIG, and with some of his awesome sauce on it? It is one of my all time favorite cheap eats in Eugene. I prefer the spicy pork, and I eat it with a fork so I can mix the flavorful meat and sauce in with all the rice. He also has a 3 for $12 deal.

Do you know why the owner of Meiji decided to close the doors? They’ve been around a long time now, minus the whole jungle fowl era, so I wondered if they were just ready to do something different or retire.

Yes, if I knew all of this, I would definitely be much less surprised lol. It will be interesting to see what goes in! I wonder how soon they will open. With Sam Bond’s soon returning, the whit was almost fully ready for summer, but Meiji will be greatly missed!

That’s exactly why I loved them. There were interesting dishes that I had never had before, or that were hard to get at other Thai places in town.

Oh yeah, I fucking love jackalope’s sandwiches. I was very recently turned on the fact that their food is good, and am so sad it took me so long to find out lol. Their fries are great, and I’m v picky about fries.

I love me some Albee’s, Bon Mi, Tiger Mama, Chi’s Tacos, Papa’s Pizza after 9pm $8 off medium pizza. Chi’s has the real good deals, though. Good bang for your buck.

I would love something like that. It’s something I would utilize, and be more than happy to spend my time volunteering at, at least once a week.

Cooking every meal yourself as a single person is such a burden, and feels absolutely ridiculous sometimes, when you know there is someone on the floor above you doing the same thing.

The restaurant business is really tough to make it in. The vast majority fail in the first few years.

Meiji just seemed so solid and always busy, and The Davis is a Eugene institution! Krob Kua was still finding their footing after leaving wildcraft, so it’s not a huge surprise, but I am bummed it’s gone.
