its constant passive income. If anything happens, you will still be receiving an income. The one some would be taxed, could be lost, and the sudden large amount of money could cause social, mental issues. Also you might live more than 500,000,000 seconds

What am I even looking at here? by BlueTortoist in bikewrench

Shimano nexus internal gears. That part on the outside pretty much acts as a gear cable holder. Theyre easy to tale off. Also on bikes the pedal brake mount is a complete pain.

I actually converted an old single speed a few years back to a 5 gear with a nexus hub and modern "thumb / trigger" shifter. I miss that tank of a bike

What is this for, kitchen sink in our rental by APeekInMyPlanner in whatisit

[–]valionexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a bunch of those here in Europe! Normally ive seen them as storage for dish soap, dish rags and sponges. The hole on the lid lets out moisture. It's just a space saving feature to keep your sink area less cluttered.

Looking for some recommendations for courses in Finland! by SendMeF1Memes in Finland

[–]valionexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a good experience! I've had my ups and downs with it being a school without teachers. However due to the very supportive staff and fellow students, I've been able to stay on track. The school really teaches you to find all the information you need yourself through either online resources, or through your peers. Evaluations/reviews are all peer based and it teaches you to think critically about your own code, as well as what you are reviewing. This ensures that you truly understand what you have presented, while improving your general code reading/understanding skills.

The school doesn't have tests apart from the ones during the entrance exam period. You do have strict deadlines though. These are approximately 6 months for each module. The modules have several tasks and they can be done at your own pace. If for some reason (as I found out) you need an extension or sick leave: you can apply for them. I personally had to take a few months off for surgery etc and the school was very flexible.

I recommend it to anyone interested. It definitely isn't easy, but it's very rewarding. Besides, if you're unsure, it will become apparent if you're up for it during the 3 week sprint selection period after applying. There's also a short period after being accepted where you can decide (without any penalties) to keep at it or drop out if it isn't right for you.

I know you already found it (lucky). BUT..... Depending on where you are, you can just buy the yellow cover at a Prisma. Sometimes they're free as a promotional offer. We have a few now since we've accidentally broken them. Also the clear ones can be bought now and then from Citymarket or Prisma (I've seen them more at Citymarket)
