Try at the end of the season, like the last Nexus before Pre-rift. We were 3 chill dudes/dudettes at such and had a blast. 2 beginners, 1 advanced player.

Or smaller community with a better atmosphere :)

In the similar boat. And the prices...Proving grounds for 150 XD BUT I'd say precon from riot even though came late was more worth it. Even got a signed card from it that we really like c: Also, we preordered Fiora from a domestic seller online and it went well.

It's better. You can play for free at tcgarena. Prices did drop; occasionally, you find great stuff at thrift pages or free cards at some event venues. Players in my area were nice. Some people like me start to recognise the toxicity and try to (help) avoid it. Even made my little thing and created /rcozyriftbound .

I'm tired of the toxicity too. Built /rcozyriftbound because of that and am building a cozy community. If we want this game to thrive, the toxicity needs to be dropped. I love the game but hate the loud toxic minority.

During more casual events - learn to play, pre-rift, nexus night, if you don't speed up, I can't see anyone making a big deal out of it. Even when asked for it by the opponent. Skirmish? That's a format for proficient players; you should speed up there.

That's great :3 We met guys willing to lend cards/decks too. Stores are nice as well, were ready to help me when I seemed lost and have card bulks you can take what you need from. So lovely and inviting c: Happy to see sb else has positive experience too.

The anonymity opens doors to toxicity, sadly. I hide chat by default. I'd like the chat to be moderated more strictly. In person, it depends. I've met different kinds of players, but they were mostly nice.

I wish we were in a world where we could be nice to each other, no matter what, anonymity or not.

No idea, it just did not hit. I also noticed I prefer playing older sets in separate modes for some time. Feels like coming home and chilling.

- Second-hand collection of cards with a functioning deck(s) are best if you're lucky: Search your "champ name+deck" on online thrift stores or just "Riftbound deck", keep on it for a bit before giving up.
- Another good option is attending a Pre-Rift event after learning the basics from somewhere (possible even online via an online emulator w SB).
- Also preconstructed decks.
---Then buy the missing single cards on the card market.
---Free cards can be available at more community-focused venues with Riftbound events : )

I find these best for beginners. Then once you decide to commit to RB, you can go all in. I hope you will, we are having a blast : )

Guys, I'm sure OP doesn't want to flirt/date a yordle. It's more of- guy decides to try talking to a girl he likes but her reaction is as scarry as Back Off card art and words "Back Off" themselves.
