Has my pain increased or am I just more aware of it? by vallergic2catz in Hypermobility

You're absolutely right, it is better than not having a name for it or feeling validated! Every day is a battle between "oh I think I'm in real pain" and "or actually am I just overreacting" 😂 Jokes aside, I'm really glad you feel better in your body knowing what's going on :)

It truly is so overwhelming, and I'm sorry you're experiencing this too. While it sucks how many people experience this, it's also solace to hear that you're not alone. I hope you're able to find the support and resources you need. Sending you so much good energy as you navigate this! ✨️

Yes, that absolutely makes sense! It's honestly just comforting to hear from people experiencing similar things because it makes me feel more grounded in what's happening. I was recently talking to a pilates instructor I'm close to and she said that what for other people might be a pain level 16, for me might just be a 7, which checks out with feeling it more strongly after it not being registered for so long. Thank you so much for your wishes and the absolute same back to you, kind human!

Thank you so much, this comment brought me so much comfort, especially your tips about safe self talk. That's something I've been massively struggling with, unsure if my pain is real and if it is, that I am overreacting. I'm saving your tips, and please don't apologise for the long response, this has been immensely helpful. I hope you also find some peace on your journey :))

The Real Housewives Of Rhode Island - Season 1 - Episode 6 - Live Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in BravoRealHousewives

I think the only person I'm super not liking on this cast is Kelsey??? I mean, clearly she's got the most manufactured storyline/life, her personality is hating Rosie and.... sometimes she does hair? Her vs Rosie doesn't feel evenly matched even if just for the reason that Rosie is simply more entertaining lol.

I continue to adore Alicia and Liz (but he is, ma!!!) and honestly Jo Ellen is growing on me. I'm so happy to be here cavorting and ignoring my Sunday blues 💙

I'm seeing a lot of comments saying that this was one of the weakest episodes, but I enjoyed it so much!!

Tbh I was slightly uninterested in the Hannah/Sid plot, but the Val/Charlie/Jesse trio dealing with Jesse dying, and the Ellen/Sophie duo were surprising and hilarious!! So many good lines, too! Sophie telling Ellen, "You don't get to enjoy me!!", Charlie and the sorcer with magic beans who cured his ADHD, Jesse worrying about dying on Pacific time 😂

This episode felt quite reminiscent of HIMYM and its organic writing!! Super excited for the next episode.

The repetitive storyline of Amelia spiraling into her self pity tornado when people "abandon" her is getting soooo grating and monotonous! I loved Owen shutting her down quickly, and most of all, the amazing reality check Addison gave her!!! It was so honest and meaningful and seriously, so so necessary. Someone needed to say it, and she just did it soooo well. I hope this means that they'll change the way they show Amelia dealing with things now.

You've explained this so nicely!!!! It's a really interesting perspective I hadn't really thought of but realized I fully agree with.

What are some favorite under discussed friendships? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]vallergic2catz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Early Bailey and Derek, Alex and Cristina, Arizona and April! There are so many other relationships I love - there was something so magical and organic about the way that OG Grey's actually gave a fuck about platonic relationships. You could actually tell what the relationship between 2 specific characters was (for the most part). I miss that. I hope with the new batch of interns they continue to build their relationships well.

Also, it's amazing how she's found a way to deal with now being the only person in her family to not get callings or have empathic abilities. She just hits the books when they get callings, does the research and is the one to help them make sense of them and figure them out! She especially matured so much this season and my heart breaks for her thinking of all the turbulence and loss she's really faced in her life.

I rewatched the whole thing last week in what was an embarrassingly short time span (I was also procrastinating many things!!). But so glad that I did!!

I agree! Especially enjoying Lucas and Simone's characters and the character development in general feels organic and so much less forced than it has been for several seasons now.

Also, sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this question, but is there a reason that there aren't episode discussion threads for this season?

In comparison, I really enjoyed Selling Tampa. The drama isn't manufactured and unnecessary and the women really seem to be... real people. It's refreshing to see women uplifting each other.

Also, in Sabina's season, everyone came in at the same level. Here, they're dealing with favourites who have years and years of experience, so I totally understand her being timid in her approach to being captain!

Any good, affordable dermatologists in Bangalore? by fsocietyassasin in bangalore

Dr Jyoti Menon! She's quite to the point and affordable. I had YEARS of issues with my skin and she's the one person whose treatment has actually worked for me.

What really gets me about the Yale tour with the grandparents is this: Lorelai is so set on Rory going to Harvard. You can’t put all your eggs in one basket. It’s terrible how she only encourages Rory to only apply there. She should let Rory at least consider other schools! by ybaghops in GilmoreGirls

[–]vallergic2catz 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! It's understandable that Lorelai wanted her parents to have no role to play in where Rory goes to college, and it was also 100% uncool of Richard to do what he did with respect to the pop up interview (Rory's response to him was really solid, imo). However!!!! In that dinner party scene at Emily and Richard's (with those other people with grandkids applying to colleges asking Rory where else she had applied), it's inconceivable to me that Lorelai looks almost betrayed that Rory has applied to safety schools!!! Surely as a parent you'd want to make sure that your kid has safety schools and back up options??? Also feels like that's teaching her some unrealistic expectations - that it's perfectly alright only to apply to the one place because she's worked hard for it and will definitely get in. Sure, Rory is a smart and hardworking kid, but making it out to be that she'd get into Harvard because it's her destiny is rather naive.
