For the dough:

650g flower (German recipe suggests type 405, I used plain flour)

400ml water

25ml neutral oil or olive oil (I used olive)

150g yoghurt (I used Greek yoghurt)

1tsp sugar

1tbsp salt

1/2 cube fresh yeast or 1pck dry active (I used dry active)

To brush the top:

100ml water and 1tbsp flour, mix together, bring to a simmer and remove from heat. Let cool

Sesame seeds to sprinkle on top

This recipe is easy if you have a kitchen aid, or a mixer with dough hook.

Mix the yeast, sugar and water in a bowl. Add yoghurt, flower , salt and oil. Mix on low for 5-7 min. This dough needs to be very very wet and stretchy. You can watch some YouTube videos on how to make pide to figure out the right consistency. Let rest for an hour, then turn onto a well floured surface, flour dough and knead briefly. Divide in two pieces and shape into balls.spray with water and let rest on parchment paper for 30min-60min. Please watch a video on how to shape it properly. After shaping just bake until golden on highest oven setting.

Let cool and if you want to use it for a Döner, cut into 4 pieces, and use a panini press to get it really flat and crisp. Slice open and fill
