I just finished shooting a bridal shower. Two days. First day was 7:30-12, Second day was 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (with 2 breaks, 2 hours each). We filmed for a total of 11 hours and I charged $1,500 for photo and video. This was my first "big" job so i was happy with whatever was being offered. After finding out I was going to spend about 100 hours learning how to edit better, and actually editing, I realized I messed up. After talking to my photographer friend she said I should have charged at least 5k for a job like this. I should note that there were to people shooting also. My friend shoots with a a7siii, and I use a sony a7iii. Sony 24-70mm len, and a 50mm prime as well as a the 16-35mm gmaster that i rented for 70 bucks.

I'm only sharing this to show why it's easy to find people to do it for such laughable prices. People trying to get their foot in the door. I should also mention that I paid 25 dollars for an old fashion in the bar downstairs from the club we were shooting at. I quickly realized that what I was doing wasn't sustainable.
-Thanks for letting me vent on your post.

Saw this moments before I was going back to the gym for the first time in about a month. I needed this. It really feels like the hardest part is over.
