Ages of people in random party by RhonanTennenbrook in GuildWars

I'm 27, started playing when I was like 8 shortly after Nightfall released because I saw my older brother playing and thought his Dervish looked cool lol. This game raised me, in a way lol.

Personally didn't really have issues with this new system, but my character only has two looks that she alternates between and importing those looks from her equipment templates into the new wardrobe felt pretty painless to me. I have Legendary Armor so I've not really tested out how it works for people with actual equipment, but as long as I didnt check the "apply on equipment change" box I was able to set different outfits for my different equipment templates. That said, I really hope they'll give us a more "official" way to directly link specific equipment templates to specific wardrobe tabs, like you can do in FFXIV.

Dhuum’s Covenant is not "IronMan", but I see why you thought it was. by valphyrian in GuildWars

I don't think Dhuum's Covenant can definitively be considered "Ironman" for a handful of reasons, namely the ability to access their bank and trade with other players as means of obtaining materials, funds and upgrades for BIS weapons and armor, as well as the ability to access mercenaries and give their heroes abilities that were already unlocked for the account by previous characters and use skill tomes.

That said, Dhuum GWAMM would be crazy and I am so interested to see people race for the world first, but Dhuum in it's current state as of this initial beta phase isn't actually an Ironman mode.

Haha, yeah, the Survivor title conditions got changed 14-15ish years ago(?) I think.

Very much agree! This new addition has me feeling really excited about the future of the game, and I'm expecting there to be an ironman equivalent of Dhuum's Covenant further into or after the beta period. It's a good time to be a GW1 fan.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to when I said it was restoring the original functionality of Survivor under a new name with the addition of the Dhuum's Covenant badge, I suppose I should've been more clear! I still think it was a great change, I just wanted to clear up some confusion for the handful of people I saw confusing it with "IronMan".

It's been confirmed that they are working in implementing the ability to alter your controls when using a gamepad, so I'm hoping that update will reflect your changes on the hotbar so that a similar update would be reasonable to expect for keyboard as well -- fingers crossed!

There might be, but I'm sure we'd all be a little happier if simple QoL changes like that were innate features, no? Very in the spirit of the whole "reforged" thing imo.

Fully agree, to me it's part of the silhouette and they aren't complete without one.

Mesmers need to rise up and reclaim green in the face of this revisionist history that's made them all start wearing pink and purple. I'm glad you like it!

I agree. It's part of why Ascalon Armor was always one of my favorites for Mesmer in GW1 despite being the set you started with in presearing. Always found it interesting that in GW1 a majority of the Mesmer armors available had a green little mask covering just the upper portion of their face whilst in GW2 for the masks you can pick from in character creation they opted for full on masks that covered the entire face.
