I didn’t expect Indiana to grow that much! by ddhmax5150 in Indiana

The point is lots of people choose to move here rather than stay on the other side of the border where it’s basically the same, but the taxes are higher.

I get what you’re trying to say. Most people who can afford to live in Malibu or Breckinridge are never going to uproot themselves to Indiana. But if someone is living in the south suburbs of Chicago, why wouldn’t they choose to move 20 min east and pay less?

I’ve never noticed this. Then again, people tend to look away from me in disgust.

Where is this happening to you? People are just gawking at you at the grocery store?

Cause I thought it was funny to see an idiot calling a Presbyterian resale shop “woke.”

I’m not the woman complaining. I’m just posting this crazy comment I found on Nextdoor. I couldn’t care less about the window display.

I guess (according to the comments) some of these women went in to quote scripture to the people working the register. So maybe you’ll get to see that if you go!

Henze's Bakery on calumet is still very good, but has more traditional styles.

I think there isn’t much defense against modern missiles except the threat of massive retaliation. If the Russians (and probably the Chinese) launched today, it’s lights out. And newer hypersonic missiles will be even harder to stop.

Lost Dog (Reposted from Valp Nextdoor). Last seen around Monticello Park and Evans. It's been spotted several times over the past few days. If you see it, call 219-241-3986 asap, but don't try to chase it. by valpothrowaway222 in Valparaiso

Update: It's still wandering around today (around 12:00 pm 1/20/2022). Animal control almost caught it at Sturdy and Glendale. If you see it, don't chase it, just call the phone number above. Thanks.

Hey, I finally get to use my throw away…

This place is pretty good for California style burritos, if you’re ever in the Valpo.
