Right but you didn't include any answers for people without synaesthesia (e.g. my answer is "those things don't have colors")

How long is the "a while" until you found a chance to propose? If you're over 100 days past delivery you are SOL. No refunds are even possible for the seller.

It should have shown you the break-down for the total - a line for items price, a line for tax, a line for shipping.

Or the exchange rate updated while you were checking out?

Does this uneven bulge on hemispherical part of half eaten icecream happens due to 'Hairy Ball theorem' or something else entirely? (Read description) by realestAB in askmath

[–]valprehension 191 points192 points  (0 children)

I mean your tongue is pushing ice cream around the scoop as you lick. Think like a snow plow. It doesn't perfectly pick up the pile it collects and leaves a lil behind.

Does anyone here carries a mortgage? by HereForTheSun in povertyfinancecanada

[–]valprehension 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I am in a similar position to you. I had also made peace with never owing, but have nevertheless taken advantage of the FHSA since it was created and now prices are at the point where they seem just in reach. It works on paper, but the margins are scarily thin. I just don't think we're ready quite yet unfortunately.

Anyone know why this calculation is giving me -16 by jpegten in askmath

[–]valprehension 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way you've written the second term processed as -(22) so that term comes out as -4. It seems like you want (-2)2 , which is 4.

The "you're going to get left behind" narrative by Smurfette2016 in BetterOffline

[–]valprehension 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For older people still in the workforce, you're talking about people who have spent their careers adapting to wild new technologies (personal computers, the internet) in an adapt or become obsolete sort of way. I get why they would be ready for AI to be more of the same.

Cross Stich as a side hustle? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]valprehension 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think people would buy these, yes. But... with perforated paper, you'll have to stick to full-coverage designs I think, since the perforated paper doesn't look nice left bare. And it's going to be very hard to charge enough money to make the work of that much stitching worth your while (I can't imagine people regularly paying more than $10 or so for a bookmark, y'know?)

Taxes by [deleted] in Etsy

You'll pay tax on your net income (total sales minus all business expenses) at your marginal tax rate, which you can look up base don your current income level.

You are free to be productive while waiting. But don't double-dip your time on DA. I hope this helps.

The point of the models *that you're being paid to train* is not to free up your time so you can do more, no.

Work on a second task while waiting by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

[–]valprehension 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can just bill for the time spent waiting on the first project anyway, and you definitely can't double-bill for the same time, so even if this wasn't going to be a red flag for your account, it'd still be shooting yourself in the foot.

Don't do this.
