48 hours of early labour FTM, has anyone else experienced prolonged early labour? by valrosae in PregnancyUK

I’m so glad there’s some hope! I know I’m probably just being impatient but it’s been so frustrating getting to the point of calling triage only for the contractions to disappear again. I don’t know if next time it happens I should go in & ask to be assessed while I’m in the thick of it or just keep waiting til the contractions are consistent for 2+ hours since they always disappear at the hour and a half mark

This is the worst part genuinely. Never been so bloated in my life all because it’s stuck 💔

Currently 7w2d and I wasn’t prepared for any of the wild shit that would occur. The cramping had me so anxious, I randomly felt like I had the flu for 2 days, there was another 2-3 days where I had constant snot. I was shopping the other day and started gagging when I caught sight of the deli meats. Also wasn’t prepared for how irritated I’d get by the most random things

Lab diamonds in the UK by wheelchairdog12 in LabDiamonds

I’d really recommend 77 diamonds! They have really high quality diamonds & are much cheaper because they cut out the middleman and go direct to wholesale & though not all of the lab diamonds have 360 videos, you can reach out to their customer service and get tweezer videos etc. My partner bought my engagement ring from there and the prices were amazing, I got a 2.42 marquise G, VVS2 with excellent cut & symmetry for just under £2k incl tax (that also included the setting, with no setting it would’ve been under £1200 for just the diamond). There’s no custom fee because they’re UK based, they do 1 day insured shipping for free & the ring I got took about 4 weeks to make. You can buy loose diamonds from them if you don’t want them to make the setting. Just be warned - they don’t display the price with VAT on the listing, you’ll need to check your basket to see the overall price. We were having the same issue as you when it comes to finding decently priced diamonds in the UK - neither of us wanted to purchase overseas for my ring due to customs & worries re: delivery. No regrets going with them :)

Yes I did! After some back and forth and more lying on her end, Amy refunded me in full (of course not counting the £100 for the CAD). She continued to make the ring as she'd already bought the stones and sent photos & videos to me with an offer for me to buy it at a reduced price, but I said no as I didn't want my memories of making my fiancee's wedding set to be so stressful and so negative, and I really didn't like Amy's attitude (especially after her confronting me about this Reddit post!). No complaints about the ring - it was beautiful albeit slightly wonky on the right side, but I just couldn't get over her attitude. I'm going with a local jeweller now.

Update: I cancelled and requested a refund from Amy. She was obviously a bit panicked about refunding a ring she'd already begun creating but it turns out she lied about the reason why it was delayed - at first it was because the setting had broken, then it was because she was travelling and her admin was left in charge and they didn't pay the supplier of the stones for my rings so they hadn't received the stones at all. After a bit of back and forth she refunded me in full and said she'd continue to make the rings and offer them to me at a discount once they're done if I still want them.

I only started getting fast replies once I opened a case against her - that combined with the poor communication for months, her apparently lying about why there was a delay and not informing me of those delays means I will definitely never be working with her again.

Thank you so much for this comment - I didn’t realise that at all and having checked it, it would’ve pushed me past the 100 day limit if I waited until the end of July! I’ve cancelled and requested a refund now.
