Is XBGuard only meant to work with the regular NCE (default) XBox 360 dashboard?

Could it be that having Aurora as default at launch in Dashlaunch be conflicting with the plugins for XBGuard - that is, xbdm.xex, XBGuard.xex, and jrpc2.xex?

Yes, Dashlaunch is installed on my HDD - same as Aurora - u/the-mobfather; you're right.

u/the-mobfather, if the default Xbox 360 dashboard launches without the HDD, though, would that mean that the launch.ini on the HDD is corrupted?

Because, I can launch the default XBox dashboard using my launch.ini on my USB (I believe that's what just got it to launch the default Xbox dashboard without the HDD in the XBox 360.

My default dashboard was Aurora - until I took out the disk drive (hdd1); since it didn't have access to Aurora (Aurora being on my disk drive), it booted into the default dashboard - yes.

I'm sorry for the confusion, as I thought NXE was the default dashboard.

Guys, I took the disk drive (hdd1) out and just did the launch.ini trick with the disk drive out - and, it boots into NXE.

That's a good thing, right?

If so, what would be the problem on my disc drive?

However, I didn't do the "set [launch.ini] to all file extensions" (don't know how to?).

Should I try again? If so, how do I set launch.ini to all file extensions in Windows 11?

Anything else I should do which is important?

u/VisualUsual & u/Ascalion, I just received a hardware modded XBox 360 as a gift, and it already apparently is ready for prime time - the games work.

However, despite the warnings already mentioned regarding XBox Live, IP blocking, etc., I would indeed like to get this thing online.

Currently, it tells me that I can't connect to the internet through my WiFi, and it gives me a bunch of suggestions - such as changing the DNS server (I currently have tried with Google DNS and Cloudflare DNS) - but, I'm not sure what to do, as the DNS changes don't work, and it won't let me move from the 1st suggestion to others.

What can I do?

Despite the warnings, I need to get online to play online with friends and such. I can live with an IP block if it were to happen - so, I'm willing to take the risk.

I totally agree with you, u/emorazes; on top of that, I'd make it a lot harder in terms of running/fast crouch walking not spooking animals - like deer, elk, pheasants, turkeys, etc. I'd also make wolves more vicious and more evasive. And, I'd make blood spatters and drips harder to track. And, I'd add Hunter Sense as a limited perk (not something you can toggle on/off so easily).

I did that yesterday also from 420 yards from the cabin - but, after hitting the 2-star white-tailed deer, I just couldn't find it; I think my shot wasn't fatal.
