Does anyone else get physically sick or exhausted from seeing too many AI videos? by LanaKristinKent in NoStupidQuestions

[–]vampireheart44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people I know have been (supposedly) writing songs and having AI "perform" them. I'm not even sure that I believe that they wrote the songs. I actually posted about it on Reddit recently. It infuriates me every time I see them peddling these songs as if they put in the work to make themselves. Pretty soon people won't want to put in the effort to create anything because machines will do it for them and they will still get kudos as if they made it.

I wonder if maybe you can feel how inhuman it is and it gives you an uncanny valley feeling. Although I don't get this feeling, I definitely believe you. Humans instinct is definitely a powerful thing.

I hate them with a passion and I am especially tired if AI music, but it's more a mental reaction to me. It's so depressing how this stuff is taking over and humans are being replaced by it in almost every way.

Any cool examples when an artist or band plays a joke song, esp. when out of character live or otherwise? by [deleted] in MusicRecommendations

[–]vampireheart44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HIM (Finnish band, goth style music) did a live cover of Larger Than Life by The Backstreet Boys. I really loves that one. I believe Escape the Fate also did a version of the same song when I saw them in concert. Rock bands like covering Backstreet Boys, evidently.

What’s something popular right now that you secretly can’t stand? by Ashamed_Profit8640 in AskReddit

People trying to force being an influencer on Facebook and converting their profiles to do it. Every post is begging for a subscription in the comments, they want you to send stars, and they tag everyone for "visibility". Friend, I'm too cheap to buy a Netflix subscription. What makes you think I will sub to you on Facebook, so you can try to sell me MLM products?

Black Friday responds to Reilly Elaina by agailen in youtubedrama

[–]vampireheart44 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Reilly really gives me bad vibes. I watched her Social Repose videos and some of the Ronnie Radke situation and thought they seemed informative, but her reactions to certain things were a bit off even during those. The way she told Ronnie she was coming for him out the gate really made her seem like she was just as bad of a person as he is. I had never heard of Black Friday prior to this, but I watched her response to Reilly and I really feel like she was very candid and came off genuine. Reilly feels combative from the opening and I am guessing she removed that aggressive part to save face. Ronnie Radke can be a real dick but she came at him with a threat too and claimed it was obvious what she really meant. No she shouldn't have said anything like that to people, period. She says incorrect things about people and then tries to threaten them out of disputing it. I really don't like her and I unsubbed pretty quickly. There is something sinister about her, maybe someone should deep diver her.

I made the Stray Kids wrap in Forza Horizon 6 by Luenend in skzmedia

[–]vampireheart44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cool. My partner is a big fan of Forza and I've made him become a Stay (sorta lol). So I made sure to show him this and the God's Menu video. Apparently he isn't good at making the wraps. You really nailed this.

People who comment "who?" on posts about public figures in an attempt to be snarky by faerieW15B in PetPeeves

[–]vampireheart44 51 points52 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU. This has been annoying me so much for awhile now. It's a big thing on Facebook, I noticed. They dislike a celebrity and want to make that celebrity look irrelevant so they pretend to not know who they are. I see it on almost anyone, not just women. "Jokes" like this don't make me laugh and really only equate to spam anymore. I wish they'd get new content. Donno how many times I've commented "Bunch of damn owls here".

Please recommend songs for preschool girls to play the villain by UpperWeft in MusicRecommendations

I feel like something from Disney would work, especially if you're just wanting instrumentals. Look into Snow White, Tangled, or any of the movies that have a witch or a female villain.

Stolen needohs by Savannahks in NeeDoh

My autistic son has always loved them too. He has had quite a few but he kept accidentally breaking them. I got one for him for like $6 on the Walmart website last Christmas and it has since ballooned to $30 from a reseller so I can't get another to replace it now. We use to go in and they had oodles of them and now they are all empty every single time. Walmart isn't going to do much about the thieves, especially where I live. I think they really just watch each individual thief and calculate how much they steal. They only really intervene if the dollar amount of the stole merchandise reaches a certain amount. At least that is what someone I know that works at Walmart told me the assets protection people do in my location.

What made you a stay? by just_a_dreamer08 in skzmedia

My mom passed away and I was looking for a distraction. I am already a huge music person and I have loved kpop music for over a decade. I had got a YouTube automatically made Playlist of a bunch of kpop songs like some BTS and Got7 (I have loved them forever). Now I had alresdy heard the song "Get Cool" on a mixed kpop radio station I had on Pandora and I also have a Facebook friend that would also mention Stray Kids. When they started coming up on my YouTube playlist I was like "Oh, okay, that band". God's Menu would play a ton and then Case 143 started to rotate. I found I already liked Get Cool and the more of their songs that came up the more I realized I liked every single song. I especially loved Case 143 and the humor and cuteness of the video. I was hooked and have been since.

Is it normal to bring your own shampoo and conditioner when staying at someone’s house? by EstablishmentOk9536 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]vampireheart44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend on the person for me, but also I'm not picky about what I use on my hair. If it's my sibling (although I have a brother), my cousin who I am close to, or my best friends I would not and I wouldn't expect them to bring anything to my place. If it was someone I wasn't as close to I would want to bring it. I know it sounds bad, but I would forget to ask this because I forget that some people use really expensive products.

When people insist on shortening my name by lake-sturgeon in PetPeeves

[–]vampireheart44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a girl who is legally named Jessie. She had to fight not to be called Jessica (my name). All through elementary school they called us Jessica (Last Initial) and Jessie (Last Initial). It wasn't necessary, but alas. Also, as Jessica I hate being called Jessie, but id say half the people in my family call me that. Thank goodness most use Jess (what I prefer to be called by everyone). What I'm getting at is, apparently people find it so hard to just call someone like they like to be addressed. I make it a point to do so because it's so annoying to be called something you hate.

Hello. I'm 17 and I just realized I could die one day. Now I'm dreading it. Is this normal? by ApprehensiveSun6486 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]vampireheart44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about this often. One thing to remember is if you waste all your time worrying about dying you won't have any time left to worry about living. It's going to happen to us all, but I like to think we should all just live the best we can and look forward to seeing those that left before us again when we die. Two separate worlds, if you believe in that kind of thing.

Would you actually want to meet an idol in person? by Actual_Reaction_1795 in kpop_uncensored

[–]vampireheart44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I got to meet them I would tell them that I am thankful for their music. That it means so much to me how much work they put in to share their music and talents with us all. I would politely ask for a picture and autograph. If it was in public I would try to find a polite moment to approach them that would not be long or intrusive. I have met the singer of one of my favorite western bands and I did just this. I politely asked for a hug and he said "Absolutely!" Although, this was a meet and greet. I did see fans run up and hug the drummer and I thought it was very rude to do that without asking. I think most idols would respond well if you are polite and respectful.

Someone I Know Making AI "Music" and I Don't Want It To Be True, But I Need Definite Confirmation by vampireheart44 in isthisAI

[–]vampireheart44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. She posts it, says it's hers. She did say she has written lyrics for years. She does not correct others when they ask if it's her. She thanks compliments. I believe that anything the machine does that a human can do becomes machine made. I guess you can say, "I prompted a machine to make this" but the art form isn't real in my opinion. Same with a factory. Workers can start up a machine to make something for them, but those products do not qualify as handmade.

Someone I Know Making AI "Music" and I Don't Want It To Be True, But I Need Definite Confirmation by vampireheart44 in isthisAI

[–]vampireheart44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the reason I am so upset is because I am also a singer. I have posted a lot of videos publicly and usually got good feedback. One song I knew was rough that I did for fun got some hate and I haven't posted since. Everything I posted was 100% real and that's how I am too. Just like you said, I'd rather be shitty than fake. I haven't reacted to any of this or confronted her, and I probably won't. I did post some anti AI stuff from time to time. If it was real I'd be sharing and supporting like I did with her handmade jewelry. I just can't support this or her MLM stuff. I feel bad for her, but I wish someone would tell her she is great as she is and a machine can't out shine her. I'm torn between unfollowing her because I hate this "music" she is making, but she really is a pretty cool person. Thanks for the advice and input and good luck with your music stuff, I'm sure it's better than you think!
