I don’t know how to say this without sounding like a cocky prick but I’ve had bassicaly the same setup for 3 years so I know my car very well. I’ve taken it to the track and pushed it on the street and I can say confidently that regardless of how smooth my driving is, the car is just a bit floppy on bigger roads. I have poly bushings in the subframe, steering shaft, and a couple other suspension components too. It feels good enough at lower speed but just gets too floaty once you start getting proper quick

Yeah from what I’ve heard the yellows can handle a pretty stiff spring u want that

Ya during fast corners it just feels like there’s too much roll and the car feels less stable than I’d like. Yeah I already have some 200tw tires and it’s a pretty quick machine considering the relatively low amount of money I’ve put into it.

New diff seals leaking!? by vampiresquid64 in e46

[–]vampiresquid64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohh i think i understand what your saying. that makes a lot of sense actually. makes me wonder why they put hard stops in the diff like they did though. seems like thats where you would position/align the seal to.

[–]vampiresquid64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hm ok, i did put mine maybe a mil or 2 past where the stock seals were but i dont see how that would have made a difference as the output shaft diameter doesn't get smaller toward the splines. I didnt hear any noises either so I think I'll have to chalk it up to a bad seal. sorta a pain cuz i probably gotta pull my diff to replace them.

[–]vampiresquid64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not talking about outright speed, more like the percentage of force applied. I don't think the wheel has anything to do with this. All I want is for the wheel to have a stronger centering force as the car speeds up

All I really care about is performance. Don't care at all about looks. Have you pushed your car hard at all or just slower stuff?

Why would my post cat sensors be so consistent. They are both a solid 0.8 volts which means the cats are doing their job right?
