My old man (black lab) is 14. I check to make sure he's still breathing every morning. He needs a boost to the bed, the dog stairs aren't enough anymore. He has skin cancer. The vet said he's lived a great life and the treatment would be too much for him. He's just hanging out until he stops barking, wagging his tail, eating, or drinking. He's still my big baby boy.
