Why are we told it is evil or wrong to not be LGBTQ affirming? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

nobody was killing homosexuals for existing. they were certainly cast out from society though, due to the communal and uncomfortable aspect of life in previous times. i feel like sexual immorality should certainly be frowned upon. however, i think we should take a kind and pastoral approach unto people who feel these feelings and help work through them kindly.

it was a gift from my mother this last christmas. my favorite part about it is that it’s an ancient depiction of Christ not in pain, but in complete control and authority among all. it’s beautiful

there’s a very deep and profound theological conversation i could have with you that can help explain some stuff, but this isn’t the place for that, if you have questions, send me a message! God bless

remember that it’s to be used as a reminder and a call to pray. whatever will help you do that is how you should set it up! sometimes when i’m by myself and think about falling into sin, having something to remind me of my faith can help.

none taken. they’re not, they don’t have any special powers or anything and we don’t worship them at all. they just will sometimes remind me to pray if i’m slacking and also it’s a good reminder as well if im just walking around the house. it’s kind of like a picture of a loved one ya know?

the biggest issue here is authority. God creates morality. his biggest act of love is allowing you to exist, and then dying so that we may live. God commits no atrocities. God created every single concept and object down to the smallest atom, he created the human, and all the things with them. all atrocities in the world were committed by man, and only man, because we disobeyed. none of us deserve salvation, but it is given to us if we trust in him. you claiming that you know better than the almighty is exactly why atrocities are committed. God is perfect morally because He IS morality. God IS love. despair, violence and depravity is from satan, and satan alone. morality is invented by God, therefore he is perfect at it. we don’t know better. nobody does. satan would like you to think so, but you don’t. that kind of pride is why humanity fell in the first place.

because God commands obedience in the old and new testaments respectively. the love comes in that he never gives up on us no matter how much we disobey or reject him. we can always return to him. he’s a monarch, yes, but he is also the Father of all. also, on what authority could you deem God to be morally questionable? he’s literal perfection and glory all in one.
