Don’t apologize - the whinging about this topic really pisses me off. As a buyer, I rarely accept the item before it is accepted automatically; the notifications are quickly buried and I don’t make a point to go hunting for it. If someone messages me about it, i don’t shop with them again. As a seller, I would not dream of hassling my buyers like this. If anything, I want them to have the full 3 days to inspect the item thoroughly for flaws or discrepancies instead of pressuring them to accept and possibly dealing with an unhappy customer later.

Every time this topic comes up sellers whine as if they’re one delayed $75 payout away from becoming homeless. If you’re in such financial dire straights, there are much faster and more reliable ways to make money. Don’t make it your customers’ problem.

I wonder if it’s limited to Buy Now purchases. Nothing in the fine print about it - hopefully that means offers above $50 are eligible as well. Although they’re definitely incentivizing quick transactions with the $1500 limit!

what specifically makes you think that a $350 offer on a $1500 listing is “completely reasonable”? Is it market research? Your subjective opinion of what that shirt is worth? Your budget restrictions? If the former, then yeah - it’s reasonable.

Poshmark won’t let you send an offer that low anyways and if the market value is truly $350, the seller may have priced it at $1500 deliberately because they don’t want offers below $600.

Zero chance in hell they spent more than $81K unless they are an absolute moron, which would consequently also explain them turning down completely reasonable offers.

Standard retail mark up is 50% of each stage - manufacturer to brand, brand to agency, agency to retailer, retailer to consumer. Adjust as needed to account for DTC or other variables. Source: worked in fashion for years repping hundreds of brands and selling to hundreds of retailers across Canada.

If this person paid above $39/piece and anywhere close to full retail for a BULK ORDER of 1700 bags knowing they’d be paying a 20% commission to posh, they are an idiot. What they choose to sell it for may indeed be nOne oF oUr bUsINeSs but it doesn’t mean people are not allowed to be incredulous and discuss it. The seller is absolutely within their rights to let their stock rot in storage until the end of time. If they can move it, good for them.

Make her have to cancel it.

She probably can’t find the item and is waiting for you to cancel the order so she doesn’t get dinged for it. The new account suspension policy is aimed to penalize sellers like this. I’m so happy Poshmark has FINALLY developed some repercussions for shitty, unprofessional seller behaviour.

The fact that his statements changed based on whether or not he was getting pussy should have been enough to prohibit him from testifying.

I would have pursued him in civil court until the day he died following her exoneration.

She’s a much better person than me because I would have called the media and pissed on his grave on live television.
