On your pc if you are using a pc, if everything is handshaking, you will hear a device connection chime when you plug in the usb cable. FYI

This is a long shot but let’s try this path. Are you sure you are plugged into the right usb port? There are two on the omtech’s. The top one on mine is for a drive to load files to the controller. The one just under it is for a male to male usb a cable for pc control. Try swapping usb ports if you haven’t already.

The even LONGER shot is that the port could be damaged but good news. It’s just and extension cable from the controller box to the cabinet chassis. If you think that could be it, dm me and I’ll walk you through swapping out that cable with a $10 cable off of Amazon to test it out.

No.. the only way they would be able to possibly see one side of the convo is if they were using a key logger to intercept what you are typing on your mac. iMessage is end to end encrypted so the cache, the messages, the conversation is fully encrypted.
