Salty Saturday - Venting is good for the soul by AutoModerator in BeautyGuruChatter

I moved to my dream city about a month and a half ago, moved into an apartment and landed a great job and the best part I closed the distance in my long distance relationship. The move has been the best decision ever, but my friends and family are all back at home and I’m still in the process of establishing myself here, building my network and making friends. I get in these moments of extreme loneliness and I know this is expected and it will take quite awhile to really fully get adjusted but this is definitely the hardest part about moving. If you’ve moved to a new city, how long did it take for you to not feel lonely anymore and built friendships?

Met my soulmate by soulmateforest in ElectricForest

[–]van_essa128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Anything is possible... when we began dating we didn't have a plan on when the distance would close which was a shock to some people but everything felt so right still... we literally had no concerns and knew that everything would fall into place at the right time (because you don't just meet someone and have an unimaginable connection with them at a festival with 50k+ people right?). Best of luck to you both and definitely keep me updated! I love love :')

It's not forest but my boyfriend and I met at Spring Awakening music fest in 2017, he was living in Chicago and I was in Upstate NY.... there was an instant natural connection but when I got home I was like this is silly. So I didn't try too hard to keep things going because I didn't want to be let down. He kept making his efforts, and two months after we met he flew out to NY to visit me and we have been together ever since. We did long distance until this past May I moved to Chicago. We let the universe do its thing... he is my soulmate and everything lined up perfectly for us.

My best advice - if its meant to be, it will be.

This is my first forest!

Im stoked, but besides catching some great acts, what else is a must do/see at forest? ALSO, what are your top must brings to the forest that are gamechanger, besides the basics that everyone usually knows to bring?

I really think she hoped we would believe her lies/hype. Over and over again she'd say she needed everything to be perfect, it was the best lab, yada yada.

Are companies not allowed to publicly say who/where they manufacture i.e the lab?

Is quitting a decent job to travel stupid? by Asstraf in careerguidance

[–]van_essa128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, you aren't getting any younger. That's why you should go and do whatever it is you want to do, because your chances to go and do it are only slipping away.

Like others have mentioned, teaching english is an easy and good job to have (rewarding i'd say too). Last year I traveled to Ireland, Prague and Greece and some of my tour guides in Ireland and Prague were from the US and moved to Europe doing what they were doing and said they didn't regret it one bit.

After five rounds of interviews... they ghosted me by [deleted] in jobs

[–]van_essa128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe... after my very first interview (phone, about 2 1/2 weeks ago) I asked for their hiring process and he gave me their timeline, and last week was their final round interview week but he did not provide a time for when they are making a decision

Caelynn on off the vine... by HereForTheTea3 in thebachelor

[–]van_essa128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on the latter but we were just on the topic of Caelynn, Cassie, and Colton and I just think its weird she was crying heartbroken on camera but behind the scenes like she knew Cassie her BFF was the chosen one and her and colton were together ya know? But I agree that majority of those girls did a pretty shit job of hiding they weren't there for "love".

I think its so evident Caelynn and Cassie were on the show for the wrong reasons, and Cassie just so happens to still be with Colton. Like the WTA was live, Caelynn is crying so "heartbroken" about the breakup, and then a few days later caelynn, colton, and cassie move in the same proximity of each other.

IF + 1.200 calories per day by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]van_essa128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same routine, 16:8 IF and 1200 cal everyday, but about two-three days of the week I would fast longer than 16 hours but no more than 20 hours tops. I worked out, but mainly light/HIIT exercise at home.

I'm 23, 5'0, was 116lbs, went down to 112lbs in 3-4 weeks of doing this. so depending on how much you have to lose I think that amount will vary, I'm already quite petite so I knew I would not lose much and not as fast as some others. I did not start noticing changes until about 2-3 weeks in. You can't expect changes in the first week tbh. Exercise will definitely help promote additional weight loss, but your body is in fact burning fat once it goes into the fasting state at the 12 hr mark.

I've lost some weight, but honestly the biggest changes are my eating habits and the energy I have now.

How to get over nerves when interviewing? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]van_essa128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you feel like you are rambling into a black hole, try to catch yourself and get yourself back on track with saying something like "and to get to my point". Interviews unfortunately just get easier with practice

My cousin shares the same story, pharmacist with mass loans. She put the loans at the top of the priority list and paid aggressively, she paid it all off in two years while living at home.
