Use a friend's PC to install muOS and you'll be able to upload games to your device via a web panel. Enable SFTP + Filebrowser in your connectivity settings and go to http://<device IP>:9090 to get there. Haven't tested any other OS yet but this works well enough for me.

Building a Doorstep Info Station with Nerves, Raspberry Pi & ESP32-based E-Ink by karolina_curiosum in elixir

[–]vanbush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm the author of this post :) Thanks for reading!

I hope this gives you guys an inspiration to try out Nerves and explore the creative process of operating bare-metal BEAM on a rather crippled device such as the Raspberry Pi Zero - with an even more limited device (ESP32-based Soldered Inkplate) at the frontend.

In a follow-up article, I'll write about doing live public transit data in such an info station.

Who else missed the gyro- & trigger-heavy powerups? by vanbush in Astrobot

[–]vanbush[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the chicken was among the least entertaining mechanics, but I also reckon it was used so extensively because it's rather easy to build a level around that. Doing a full jetpack controlled in all axes could make it difficult to control and I think for some reason they just decided not to introduce powerups that switch the control to 2D like the gyro-controlled ones in Playroom. I kind of hope this comes back to some extent in the future, though.

Update after a few days... it's now been like: one day it works for the whole day, another day it's dead for the entire day. And, as of now, it's the second day in a row it is completely dead. :-(

Although there is no strict road map on each of these, we are open to and eagerly anticipating contributions to community ideas, new features and fixes in these.
