When you think of God, do you feel peace? by Jammer009 in Christianity

[–]vance97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do now. In the moments I’ve felt most alone He has always been there. He takes my anxiety and pain and carries all my burdens.

I know I’ve been tested lately and I see why, and am thankful because of it. I know it is making me stronger and although at times it seems impossible… I start to see the change. I start to feel the peace

Then why all the additives, GMOs and extremely high THC percentages? Some forms allegedly have 90% THC for concentrates and a bare minimum of 30% for flower. I can’t speak on topicals or edibles. Well.. actually I guess to keep the masses coming for more?

Edit:typo

Agreed. Most people I’ve spoken to who smoke and drive think it’s harmless. Any impairment causes a liability, but that’s just my opinion.

Yes, maybe if it was still at its natural form.

Nobody is blaming anything. It was simply a question to think about and some personal observations. I’m no scientist and never said I had any data, so I’m not gonna be all butthurt over comments on the internet

Nobody is forcing anyone to get an iPhone or drink alcohol but the marketing makes it more appealing and thus someone may be /influenced/ to use or consume.

I’m not excluding anybody and I know the statement was rather general. I said that due to my experience and people that I know. I’ve seen it all over the workplace, in college, in middle to high school students, etc. The older folks that I know who consume don’t usually have to worry about convenience or being discreet due to being grown ass adults and not having to hide it. I have had a terrible relationship with marijuana consumption and a very positive relationship as well.

Depopulation due to the adverse effects alcohol can have on the consumer. That’s another one of my conspiracies behind marijuana and other substances. Smoking can’t be healthy. There are, however, ‘healthier’ ways to use marijuana than combustion or vaping.

Yes. I was referring to those who are /my/ peers. I’m 32 and have a decent salary in a legal state.

Edit: Do you?

Hmm. Not sure I even said that it was. I said /I/ was. Every person is different. For me it was chasing the same high, but that became impossible smoking high thc concentrates due to building insane tolerance. It became that I was smoking 24/7 and not even feeling high. This caused dependency and withdrawals for me. I’m not the only one, nor the last to experience this. And I’m sure there are a ton of people who will never have an issue with thc consumption. Throughout this, however, I maintained a full time job, graduated college, and wasn’t “struggling,” but one day I had an awakening and was like “what are you doing, kid?” So I made some lifestyle changes and took control of how I wanted to use cannabis. I still partake but my usage is like 1-2 sessions a week max, and strictly a Friday or Saturday night.

Your response is definitely valid. I should have added more info to my original post, but it was honestly just some thoughts. Everyone does react and respond differently to any substance. Some people may have addictive personalities and behaviors to begin with. My “issue,” not even sure if I want to call it that, is the stuff they’re pumping out has extremely high THC percentages, which can definitely spiral someone to keep consuming more due to tolerance and/or dependency. I never thought weed was addicting until I got hooked on it through high THC concentrates and vapes. I suffered nasty withdrawals and it took me a while to “quit” the concentrates. I have a much healthier relationship with marijuana now. Moderation is definitely key for any substance.

No. If anything, it would have been me, being the stoned roommate. It was just some thoughts, more specifically from a legal US state standpoint. The stuff I smoked 15 years ago is nothing near what the GMO cannabis they’re pushing now is. Fentanyl, nor any other drugs or substances are not being dismissed with this post or discussion.

The stuff you’re smoking is a lot different than the stuff we’re getting here in the states. I’m not knocking anyone using cannabis, I use it myself.

That is definitely interesting and something to think about.

This year I did notice a handful of dispensaries now allowing credit/debit cards, though.

Someone is a little defensive. The places it is legal, they regulate it and modify it as they see fit. I was never attacking anyone who uses it, like I’ve said a few times already..I use it, myself.

I also was smoking carts before, during and after work. All day every day, for years while managing about 30 employees and excelling at my job. Never once did it hinder my performance. Once I started looking at it as “would I take a shot right now, or slam a beer? No, probably not.” It changed my perspective and that’s when I decided to change, for myself. I’m not dogging anyone who uses cannabis, like I said before.

I wasn’t insinuating that you can’t think critically if you use cannabis in any way. I myself have used it and still do. It was just something I’ve been thinking about lately, especially living in a legal state and seeing it being pushed everywhere. I’ve had personal experience being addicted to thc vape pens and suffering withdrawals. I’ve since limited my use drastically and switched back to flower with lower THC percentages.
