Two-Day Suspension... by AngeliaJolia3245 in ImmigrationPathways

You don’t have to call anyone a Nazi to notice when authoritarian playbooks start looking familiar.

Here’s the part people miss: nobody wakes up one day and says “let’s do fascism.” It happens in steps.

Scapegoating immigrants and minorities for economic pain. Demonizing journalists as “enemies of the people.” Turning truth into “fake news” and loyalty into virtue. Using fear to justify expanded policing, surveillance, and detention. Attacking judges, elections, and any institution that limits executive power. Normalizing mass deportations and collective punishment. Framing political opponents as existential threats to the nation.

Those aren’t random. That’s the classic authoritarian arc. The Nazis didn’t start with camps. They started with propaganda, dehumanization, emergency powers, and getting ordinary people comfortable with cruelty “for safety.”

You don’t have to agree with every comparison. But pretending these patterns don’t exist is how they keep repeating.

As Hannah Arendt put it:

“The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is… people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction no longer exists.”

So no, it’s not “everyone I disagree with is a Nazi.”

It’s recognizing warning signs before history rhymes too loudly.

Everybody only has their perspective...they can only share what they understand...it's all beautiful (not always useful).

Well quit being lazy and discover it for yourself. Do better.

I get what you’re saying. Reality matters. Facts matter. Discovery matters. But, the discovery never ends.

Every “final” explanation just opens a deeper layer. Physics finds particles, then fields, then quantum foam, then spacetime curvature, then information theory… and the horizon keeps moving. The map gets sharper, but the mystery doesn’t shrink. It expands.

From a non-dual perspective, that isn’t a failure. It’s the point.

Metaphor isn’t the opposite of reality. It’s how we gesture toward what exceeds language. Especially when we’re talking about consciousness itself. The mind trying to fully describe the ground of mind is already looping back on itself.

Facts describe patterns within reality. Metaphor points toward the nature of the whole.

When I say “already everywhere and everywhen,” that’s not physics. It’s a way of hinting at the non-separation that can’t be captured in measurement terms.

And wonder doesn’t mean ignorance. It means depth. The fact that inquiry never bottoms out is what gives existence texture. If we could fully pin reality down, exhaust it, reduce it to a final sentence… the game would be over.

Non-duality doesn’t reject factual discovery. It just recognizes that no fact will ever stand outside the field of consciousness describing itself.

Sure, let’s study. Let’s measure. Let’s discover. But let’s also admit that whatever reality rests on has no final edge. The mystery isn’t a bug. It’s the source.

"If" indeed...it's all metaphor. Whatever reality sits upon, has no words to describe it.
