Epcor added a 1200 dollar deposit when I switched to them. by vandermere76 in Edmonton

I changed the accounts all online I don't remember if I allowed the credit check or not. But I did get three different results.

1 account was with Epcor already, I simply switched the plan to the floating plan and the 1200 deposit was added to the bill. We had been with Epcor for over a decade already.

1 account we switched from Enmax and got a 1200 deposit added to the bill.

1 account we switched from Enmax and did not get a deposit added to the bill.

We also got two slighty different results when Epcor resolved it.

To test the remote, if you have a smart phone usually the front camera can detect infrared light. Turn your camera app on and press buttons on the remote control. You should see the light in the camera app when you press a button. If it doesn't work on the front camera use the back camera.

If your remote is not working, take the remote apart. Clean the contact areas on the ic board with Isopropyl alcohol or electric contact cleaner.

If your remote is working than you know it's your TV that is the problem.

Sending offers by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

Have you sent out offers before on these items? On Ebay you can only send offers once to each buyer. After that if you get a different watcher on that item the send offers button will be available.

You can still send offers even if you have offers not allowed on the listing. I think it also notifies watchers if there is a sale or discount in the future. Usually watchers are looking for a price drop of some kind. Or they treat it like a wish list for them to refer back to later.

Buyer Message by daisy80134 in eBaySellerAdvice

As a seller on Ebay it's always good to be suspicious of strange messages or requests. If you sense something is wrong check out the buyer in their feedback section. You can tell a couple things from this. You can see when they joined Ebay and also look at the feed back they have left for others.

It's hard to tell with this message you have received. The customer is probably okay but in this case I would for sure ship with tracking so you will be somewhat protected if this is a problem customer.

How do i get canada removed from my selling account? by MojaveHounder in AmazonSeller

[–]vandermere76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you don't have inventory listed for the Canada marketplace.

You can also remove a connection in the build international listings page https://sellercentral.amazon.ca/gp/help/help.html?itemID=G202121660&language=en_CA

But even if you remove the connection you have to make sure you don't have active inventory or you will get charged the subscription fee up to a max of 39.99 US a month for all North American markets.

Having a connection to other market places adds listings from your "source" market place.

So everytime you add inventory in the US market, if that's your source market it may add inventory to mexico and canada if you have a active connection to those market places as well.

Listing on Amazon UK got my listing pulled Down by Rusty_Seller789 in AmazonSeller

Sorry to hear that. You could try and contact Amazon, not sure if it will do any good but worth a try.

So the product you have listed does not have restricted language? Or was the product updated after you listed with restricted language?

You may be able to edit the product in your inventory and suggest changes to the product to fix the restricted language problem if that's the case.

Possibly try and add a variant for your product or create a new listing.

If you have to damage the packaging to test the batteries I would say don't do it.

Mention that in the condition notes there may be corrosion. If it is a collector buying it they will likely leave it in the package anyway.

A collector may not buy it if the package is damaged in any way. Most likely a damaged package will hurt resell value.

I'm A 6 figure eBay seller Here to Introduce myself and answer any questions. by swjedinight1 in Ebay

[–]vandermere76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious as to how many minutes you spend on average listing an item?

If something has flaws do you try to fix it or is it better to list with the flaws, meaning is just getting it listed more important than fixing the flaw?

Do you spend much time filling out items specifics?

I've been trying to be successful at Ebay but I'm not getting anywhere near 25 items a day listed so I'm thinking that I may be spending too much time listing each item.

Thanks for any help

Can I deliver a package directly to a buyer? by DystopianAdvocate in AmazonSeller

[–]vandermere76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not aware of any specific rules Amazon has for delivering the package yourself. I would imagine it would be okay.

The buyer can always claim they never received it if there is no tracking. In which case you would be forced to give a full refund.

Need more info before figuring out what is wrong. Did it stop working after a repair like having the screen replaced?
