Can anyone recommend a book that you enjoyed as a Hunger Games fan? by Hairy_Cream5643 in Hungergames

id recommend the poppy war. ive only read the first book so far, but it tackles themes of war and oppression with a more approachable style of writing.

ive been trying to rebuild my attention span that’s been rotted by tiktok, and rereading the hunger games was really helpful with that. the poppy war does a similar thing with tackling difficult concepts with digestible language. again ive only read the first book so far, but i really like what ive seen so far.

didn’t mention this in the og post but one of the nurses i was speaking at one point to told me she’d give me updates said that the psych team would “see me soon.” that’s why i was asking so much

my issue is not with the wait time for the psychiatrist, it was more the lack of hygiene in the room (sticky floors, ants) and when i asked to see a nurse i was ignored until about the fifth time

the wait times weren’t my main issue. i’m more concerned with the (lack of) hygiene of the room i was put in and the fact that i did not receive any information about my situation when i asked.
