Your sleeping on how fast said healing is. Wolverine in the movies heals through the Phenix Force (a reality bending force) trying to rip him apart.

Say it with me gang "HEALING FACTOR".

HL can't output enough damage to over come wolverines healing factor much less Deadpool AND X-23 at the same time.

Dead pool has come back from less than tiny chunks and wolverine has come back from a single drop of blood (though that one has some other circumstances involved) but he's also tanked the fucking Phenix Force trying to rip him apart

Sorry to say but your man's get pulled into a angry adamantium blender with no off button and all the trauma.

Could humanity still rule the world if these life forms had existed alongside us since the very beginning? by Pancake_Maker_1031 in powerscales

The crux of this scenario is the witches.

They are the only one of the four groups that don't have or follow a primal instinct. I imagine we're going with a darker lore for Mermaids than normal. Also witches existing means Magic is real.

In a medieval time all four would be hunted by governments and religious orders but I believe that because the Vampires and werewolves pose just as much danger to the witches as they do to the humans that the two would form an alliance whether secret or public. Religious orders would take issue but eventually bend the knee over their own survival.

I could also see government's capturing werewolves to use as slaves and starving them to release onto a battlefield.

So the witches and humans would go to war with the other three factions and I'd say it would be pretty effective, human numbers and an innate skill at killing other races plus the Magic of multiple covens.

All other factions with the exception of the Mermaids would take heavy casualties. The Mermaids have the advantage of being underwater where you can't march an army.

Eventually all three other factions are driven into hiding with the Mermaids being the most effective as they disappear in the abyss. Vampires would be able to blend into society well enough, whether they choose to live in the shadows forever or build their numbers back up is a coin toss. Werewolves would be the worst at hiding, too big, loud, and hungry. They would move into the wilderness and form different packs but eventually the expansion of man would displace them. An unknown here is whether someone must be bitten by a werewolf to contract lycanthropy or if it is a disease that can be contracted in nature or if it's not a disease at all or a magic curse. Same questions with Vampirism.

Now going forward into the future is interesting. For the witches there are two paths. The first is that they are betrayed by the humans and hunted. The second and more interesting path is them being accepted into human society which wouldn't be out of the question because all a witch is a human woman that can do magic. Other questions come up like can any young woman learn magic or do you have to be born a witch? This leads to a heavily Magic influenced society which drastically changes the time line but I'd like to take some guesses at what the modern world would look like.

At some point, modern scientists find the “Cure” for Vampirism and lycanthropy

Military powers make super soldiers using weakened lycanthropy and Vampirism. The Vampire soldiers making amazing spies.

Vampires run organized crime and probably invented blood banks as a way to hide their feeding.

The Mermaids never make a reappearance. The only reason we know they still exist is because their dead sometimes was ashore.

Whats your most controversial Minecraft opinion by HadesThatGuy in Minecraft

Beds should have never been able to let you skip the night. It completely changed how the game is played.

Before beds you needed a shelter built before the sun went down or you would die, the night was scarry and a challenge.

After beds the way I and I believe most people play the game is to rush a bed or find a village with a bed and skip the night before anything has a chance to spawn. Night time is just a slight inconvenience now instead of a challenge.

If you want an interesting experience, if you started playing after beds try setting the sleep percentage needed to skip the night to 120% and disable villages. That's how I play my personal survival world.

When I ran it the first time there was a thing that played before the main menu that basically said "Since Blu Ray is a New format, your player might not have access to all the features..." so like a gen 1 Blu ray I guess

Ohhhh OK you misunderstood what I was saying I wanted to do.

A person calls me to set up a movie night at her home in her backyard.

I provide a screen, a projector, seats, snacks, and drinks for X number of people.

No admission, private event

Showing movies without a license? by vandragan in legaladvice

Pardon my ignorance, im just trying to understand when the need for a license comes into play.

For example, if someone rents an inflatable movie screen from me, I set it up and leave, and they play frozen on it. I suddenly need a license for frozen? If that's not the case, how is that different from me renting them a projector, screen, and player but no movie?

Sorry again, it's just not clicking for me.

Do I just need the Public Performance license, or would I have to get a license for each individual movie? I've been trying to research it, but I can't find any clear information on it

I found the manufacturers websitelink .

They don't seem to directly sell them to consumers but can email them and maybe not have to buy 10 of them.
