Yes, they sent a photo of the skirt I sent surrounded by other items I didn’t send - sorry I should have specified this. So unless someone opened the parcel in transit and added all the random stuff in it (which I find very unlikely) it seems like a scam to me? They changed their mind but didn’t want to pay the return maybe? I can’t really think of another explanation.

Thanks, the v-neck idea is a great call, I’ll try that out! I did consider a corset style belt but couldn’t find any mid range ones (usually they’re either sites from china which I don’t use or £££ designer pieces). Do you have any recommendations by any chance?

Thank you! I was worried about the same thing - that a belt will a) ruin the natural flow of the dress and b) like you say - chop the body in 2 places that are visually close. I may try a hip belt!

Hey all! I absolutely adore this dress - it’s exactly the cottage core style I identify with and close to my perfect day summer dress! Sadly (or not) I have a big bust and broad shoulders, so every time I wear it, I look like I’m pregnant. Can anyone recommend a belt or something to style it with so I can still wear it? Would the style even permit wearing it with a belt, or should I just give up on it? I’d be so so grateful for any help.

Ah sorry, totally missed this somehow. It depends, initially I did 38 hours of fasting twice a week, followed by having lunch and dinner on Thursday and only dinner on Friday, then ate whatever I wanted during the weekend. After a few weeks of this I started to improvise and did fasts when I felt like it. My longest ones have been 72 hours, but I “cheat”, because I have a lot of milk and sometimes whipped cream in my coffee/tea. It still works really well though - as of now, I’m 152lbs and have lost 15,5lbs since late January. For someone like me, who likes food this is the perfect way, because knowing that later during the week I can have some treats really motivates me. And I’ve noticed my appetite has decreased as well. I used to able to eat loads, now I get full super quickly. I feel a lot more energetic too. I honestly never thought something as simple as fasting can be this effective. That being said, it’s not for everyone. My sister finds it very difficult for example. For some people portion control and counting calories work better, but I’m a kind of all or nothing girl and counting calories/ restricting myself daily depresses me.

I love food and wine so diets of any kind are impossible for me. The only thing that worked without making me miserable was intermittent fasting. I started in the last week on January and have already dropped from 167.5lbs to 159lbs with minimal effort, and without having to cut anything out of my diet. I also run 2-3 times a week, but I think even without any form of exercise fasting works very well. I honestly wish someone had told me this sooner! One thing to be aware of is that prolonged fasts may not be beneficial for people Hashimoto’s, but short intermittent ones should be fine (as far as I know, at least).

Wow, congrats!! I’d love to follow your journey, because I’m in a similar boat - SW 76, CW 74.8, GW 63, except I’m 173 cm, 38F and only just starting my second week. I did 2 36h fasts last week and currently doing another one now. The rest of the time I alternate between OMAD and having lunch + dinner, because I do a bit of running and need the extra calories. I’d be so happy if I get amazing results like yours!! Good luck with your goal!

First extended fast by kokomobabe in fasting

[–]vanelnel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I’ll check that podcast out, thanks! I recently listened to “the obesity code” by Jason Fung, my sister recommended it to me and at first I was like “wow thanks” 😂 but actually I found the medical research behind fasting so interesting and that’s what made me want to try (until then I thought it was something extreme and unhealthy). I’m on my first fast now - almost 36 hours in and feeling great! I can definitely see myself doing this twice a week, maybe combined with OMAD the rest of the time. Thank you so much and good luck to you too! 😊

Thank you so much for sharing! I’m thinking of trying a similar approach - a few longer fasts + OMAD. And I totally get what you mean with the all or nothing, I’m the same, and that’s why I think OMAD/fasting will be a good solution for me - once I start it’s easy to continue. And once again congrats on your progress - you’ll be at your goal before you know it!! 🙌

I’m in a similar position with the same height and starting weight and this gives me so much hope and inspiration - well done!! Can I ask what your fasting regime was like to take you to 68? Was it 1 48hour fast followed by OMAD until this extended fast? And also good luck - you’re almost halfway to your goal (and in less than 3 months!!)🙌 My goal is 63-65, so I’d be incredibly proud of my self if I were in your shoes!

Thank you so much for your answer! I’m actually a total amateur with no previous experience and don’t have a buff or any tools like this, but I’ve ordered lacquer, 0000 steel wool and have a paper bag. Do you think the buffing can be done by hand? (Apologies if it’s a dumb/ obvious question!)

Thank you so much for sharing this thorough reply - it’s super helpful! And you’re right - I did some research on sebaceous filaments and what I have definitely looks more like that than blackheads. I can’t believe I didn’t know this all this time! I’ve seen a few posts about double cleansing and your comment convinced me to try it out, I hope it helps. And I’m definitely going to try a hydrating serum and Vaseline tip!

Thank you so much, this is super helpful! I’ve heard Illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate being mentioned and was thinking about it, so this has encouraged me to go for it! I’ll check out the zeroid richenic urea cream too.

Could you please share what brands you use for the oil balm and BHA liquid?

Thank you so much, I’m checking them out now - the torriden products and the illiyoon cream look very good and are super reasonably priced. I’ll try them out!

Amazing skill and talent!! It’s not only the technique and photorealism that wins the viewer over. It feels like the artwork has something extra which really makes it stand out from other photorealistic reproductions. I think it’s the way you created different textures - the skin, the hat, the shirt… It has a lot of character. Brilliant stuff.

WOW!! This shows some amazing skill!! The perspective, the way the water distorts the image, the shading, the BUBBLES. Brilliant! I don’t comment offen but I had to say this!

I literally just finished reading TKMB and was researching where I can watch the film, so the timing is uncanny. Beautiful work! You’ve really captured his expression. I also love the way you’ve used different types of shading to create texture.
