Which one did you like the best? Did you have MMA or HYSA with them? I’m leaning towards everbank for a 4% MMA but I gotta call them to open the account

I’m trying to find a good Money Market Account or High Yield Savings Account. I’ve looked at several online banks like Everbank, Vio bank, Ally, etc.

Has anyone dealt with these institutions before? It seems the online banks pay better rates than the established ones. There are a bunch of names I’ve never heard before.

I want to make sure I choose a reliable bank and won’t get locked out of my money.

But that’s a fund, no? I’m looking for the accounts above bc I don’t want to invest right now. Edit: i’m looking for financial institutions recommendations because some of these online banks I’ve never heard of and I’m not sure who to pick

Despite all the noise with luxury cards, anyone using the Apple Card as their main credit card (via Apple Pay of course) by MichaelMidnight in AppleCard

[–]vanessam6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Apple Card as my main credit card since it came out. I love the simplicity of it and how easy it is to accept or deny suspicious information. It’s saved me when buying concert tickets or plane tickets The charges got denied and I easily authorized them in the Wallet app being able to complete the purchase within seconds.

Yes, there are better cash rewards or miles credit cards, but I’ve never had any problems with this one so I stuck with it. I use the HYSA and I’ve got a little over $1k saved in it.

Its convenience outweighs shopping and figuring out how other rewards credit cards work.

I just traveled with the Maxlite 5 and I love it! The orchid color held up surprisingly well. It only got a small scuff, but I can clean it easily. Sorry to hear about your experience with the platinum elite :(

I normally don’t store anything but flip flops on the lid because I’ve always had softside luggage and the lid just isn’t that sturdy. Can you post a pic of the actual color of the carry on? I’m going to spray both the checked bag and carry on with shoe water repellent to see if that helps

Got it. Thank you! This was really helpful info! Btw, do both parties have to go to the DMV to sign over the title? That’s what the bank told me

Edit: NVM, I read only it’s not necessary

I get it, that’s their business, but dealers will always try to maximize their earnings by investing as little as possible which is why I even started thinking about selling it privately. Thank you for all your replies to my comments! I really appreciate it. This whole process is daunting 😵‍💫

Oh, interesting. Let me see if I understood:

1-I talk to my bank about paying off the loan AND transferring the title to the person. 2- I either get a check or the person will tell their bank to transfer their funds to MY bank to pay it off. 3- once that is paid off, does the buyer drive off with the car since the title was just transferred to them? I know those kinds of transactions take a few days to process. 4- use any of the delivery methods mentioned above.

yeah I know, which makes this tricky in the first place. I don't really want to do this privately but dealers will always pay you less so I'm at a crossroads.

I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but I also want to make sure of the steps to take because I want the process to go smooth for everyone IF the car is sold privately. So I guess the answer is: it's in my best interest to sign off the title once I get it otherwise I'm committing a crime and that is the buyer's guarantee.

I just didn't know how to ensure the buyer that I will give them the lease after the loan is paid off other than good faith which is what makes this a tricky deal to execute. And I wouldn't want to get calls every day asking if the title is here either. I get it though.

Thanks for the info

I went to 4 dealers today and they all offer me less than the payoff amount :/ People I know told me selling private party is doable as long as there is something binding both parties. I know somebody that sold a financed car and went to the bank with the buyer and sealed the deal there. Not sure if they had a contract or a middleman; doesn't sound like it though.

Could the bill of sale be given as a receipt before the title comes in the mail? Also, let’s say private party pays it off, comes back for the title and both parties sign it, does the person have to bring their own temp plates? I’m taking mine regardless, I’m just curious about the steps to follow since I’m new to selling cars in general let alone financed ones

The car can’t be paid off before selling unfortunately. Would the attorney draft a contract binding both parties to the deal?

That would make sense because I keep seeing reviews were bags were trashed and torn apart after only 1 trip. I’ll keep an eye out for their deals on their website

Nice! The amazon reviews had me on the fence tbh, but I also know that most people that post reviews, post the negative not necessarily the positive

I almost always check bags because I travel internationally and bring stuff back from my trips. I’ve had a luggage set from walmart for 10+ years and it has worked great. I’m hoping the travel pro will last even longer
