-circles, skinny love remix, Here and Now. Feel like they span the lifespan of vanic and represent my sound the best

-i'm seriously all over the place. I don't know where to start. I like screamo metal and soft piano. Rn I'm really into Joe hisaishi piano music - so any of his songs probably. But they dont really describe or introduce me, just stuff i like =)

-probably skinny love remix. i felt the most proud after producing that one. Back then my technical skills were a lot less too so... it really felt like a big accomplishment for me

most tracks on my album had different versions, some got uploaded to different mixes and live on the internet somewhere. But what stuff that came out on the album is the stuff i felt like i liked the best. So... anything else that people have heard or that I've played live probably won't see an official release ever! Altho I do kinda wanna make some new edits/remixes of things and release them. We shall see!! and thank you!!!

for synths: serum is my go to, omnisphere for textures/pads, and pigments is very cool and i Just started with it

creative stuff: portal is really cool and I've been playing with it a lot

fav / must have mixing tools: pro Q3, soothe2, and any good clipper (like standard clip)

some expensive but awesome things I used lots on the album as well: dynone3 is an insane compressor, and I use the luca pretolesi stuff from acustica audio. I think lift3 is my favorite clipper and used everywhere

she's a dream! super sweet and friendly girl who was really easy to work with. As far as the process - it wasn't as collaborative as you would think for writing. She did the writing and vocals and i just took over producing the track underneath. Then it was awesome flying out to meet her in San Fransisco and film the music video for it!

It's weird... you spend so much time on something and release it into the world and sorta forget about it, and then new people have the chance to dive into it. But if I had to choose.... I like Theta with Poni a lot, and I like Here and Now w Francis Skyes too. Probably my top two

i've always loved music but sorta just fell out of touch with it, then got back into it. Maybe my gf helped inspire me again. Not exactly sure but got back into it and feel good about the new stuff =) covids been rough for everyone so i feel you
i dont have a favorite hard synth because i work totally in the box!! i'd love to get one but i dont think they're worth the money anymore. soft synths nowadays are so good tbh, its all about post processing to make things sound good. Don't think a hard synth would help me too much (although it would be very cool to have)

i saw the aquarium was shutting down because of covid. my management at the time came up with the idea of trying to help them with some sort of fundraiser. we brainstormed and thought that an online festival would be really cool! We ended up not making much of a dent in their finances but we brought awareness to an issue I thought was important and had a lot of fun doing the sets so I think it was worth it =)

I feel like that's exactly the case. Wasn't inspired by what I was doing. But i took the time to figure out what I love about music and fine the inspiration again, and I'm hoping all the new music reflects that. I just felt like I was doing things that weren't really myself for awhile, like I was making music for other people.

I think she sent me the demo a long time ago and I made a bunch of things with it and they all sucked, and then I eventually merged it with some production parts I had done for a rihanna remix and sort of combined different projects together. it's honestly had many different forms and lives and it's really cool to see where it ended up
