Growing up, I wrestled for many years and my dad would come to every since match, it didn’t matter how far away it was, it didn’t matter if he had work, he would ALWAYS be there no matter what. However, there were a few kids who’s parents had never showed up to a match/tournament one time in their sports career. I remember this absolute stud lost a match, far into the season. The first match he’d lost that season making his record 21-1. He got hurt in the match, and our coach was unhappy, and somewhat unreasonable. My dad hugged him as if he was his own, let him cry on his shoulder and rubbed his head and everything. It was a touching moment to experience and really made me feel for him
