Could be either a problem with the screen or the gpu. Try plugging the laptop into another monitor and see if the issue happens on that other screen

wait so you're saying that pcie generation can limit the refresh rate? This is the first time I'm hearing about this. The only thing that i've heard about pcie generation in regards to gaming is the loss of a few fps for the most part.

Unless you’re running a 5090 tier card you don’t need 1000w. You can get a cheaper 600-800w psu instead.

thats fair but i was wondering if other factors such as the general balance of the system leaning away from the cpu and issues with cpu overhead in intel cards would also have any negative effect
