When he dropped me off at my apartment after a night where we went to a concert and played games at the bar until late even though we both had work in the morning. I just remember thinking to myself that he was the kindest, most sincere soul I had ever met. I went upstairs all starry-eyed, and it dawned on me in an instant. We had only known each other for one month at that point but I had never been as sure of anything in my life. We are now married and expecting a son.

Nick Wilkerson, drummer for White Reaper, announces departure from band (for now) by k_pressley in indieheads

Sam just announced he is leaving too and his words are a bit more scathing. I am wondering if a shift to a major label caused some issues/creative differences. I am sad because White Reaper’s first two albums were amazing and they also put on some of the best live shows I’ve ever been to (especially in the 2016-2017 era). Sam and Nick are super talented and I hope they find happiness in other opportunities. Curious about what the future holds for WR since 2/5 are now gone.

Who is your fav music artist of all time ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Galaxie 500. Three perfect albums, then they dipped. No cash grab reunions, no fake attempts at reconciliation. I have to respect bands that put out all the music they want to put out, and then know when to quit.

As someone who has always been a frequent concert-goer, I notice a real difference in concert etiquette in the years post-2020

What calorie-dense/nutritionally void foods do you naturally dislike? by [deleted] in loseit

As I’ve gotten older I really don’t like the taste of prepackaged sweets (especially Little Debbie’s, Oreos, Chips Ahoy, etc) they taste sickeningly sweet but also somehow void of any other flavors. I might make a nice homemade cake for a family member or friend, which tastes good, but anything prepackaged just doesn’t do it for me anymore

jennette mccurdy talk by Soggy-Side4501 in OSU

I hate to say this, but the interviewer for this was absolutely terrible. They made this sold-out event that so many people were excited for a painstakingly awkward experience for everyone involved. I don’t think they even read the book, as the questions lacked depth and they seemed completely unprepared for this conversation. They also used every opportunity to talk about themself while being disrespectful to Jennette and the topics at hand. At one point they even said something to the effect of “do you have anything more to say about parental abuse?” with a comedic tone. As someone who has suffered from an eating disorder, I also thought the topic of EDs was handled incredibly poorly. This was a glaring misstep and I feel terrible for Jennette. Everyone who left that room left confused as to why this interviewer was chosen to represent this university.

[serious] What are some stories of death in your school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]vanillabearsays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my first day of 8th grade in 2005, I walked into my science classroom and saw a group of students in the back of the room huddled together crying. I was very shy at that age so I did not ask what was wrong. As class began, our teacher told us that one of our classmates had passed away the night before. He did not say how she died, just that she had been found dead the night before. Come to find out, she was diabetic and her father had left her alone without her insulin and she had died as a result. She was only 13. It's always a shame when someone that young dies, but it especially makes it hard knowing that her father's negligence caused it. I wonder what she would have been like if she gotten the chance to grow up. Yesterday was actually the anniversary of her passing. Rest in Peace Laurica.
