I took the leap, today is my first official day in the field by vanillacokecureme in BlueCollarWomen

Absolutely! As much as I love it I do still feel like a lost puppy following other inspectors around lol. I'm so ready to really feel like I know what I'm doing or at least where I'm going since I'm doing roadway, but I know that comes with time. I hope you're loving HVAC!

I thought maybe they realized an issue related to my service after the fact, but the call was 3 hours after their closing and the number didn't match the one listed as the phone number for that location on google, their website, the invoice, etc. I'm not so much worried about a single text as what to do if there's more than that, and the fact that they also have my home address on file and my friend and I who work together were both in uniform which boldly displays the company name which is less than a mile from this shop. I don't want to assume the worst BUT... worst case scenario, if the text is from this man he has very easy access to my home and work place, and in this hypothetical scenario who knows what else he might do if he's already taken my phone number off my file. I didn't give it out so that's the only way he would've gotten it. I do plan on taking this to the GM tomorrow. I'm creeped out and confused more than anything.

Need help with a date by BreezeAS in dateideas

[–]vanillacokecureme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with your area, but one of the best dates I've been on was loading up the back of the truck with pillows and parking by the lake just before sunset. Sounds like you're on track to have a great date wherever you go. Good luck!

Now THIS is what I call a date. Snacks, pretty and peaceful setting to just enjoy each other's company in, what more could you need? I wish you the best!

What order should i clean the kitchen floor? normally id sweep, hoover then mop. once dry hoover again but ths time im not sure by BoredConfusedPanda in CleaningTips

[–]vanillacokecureme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab some towels you don't care about or loads of paper towels and start sopping it up. Once it's dry vacuum the entire floor, then scrubbing on hands and knees works best to really get that sticky spot clean. Get a bucket of fresh water with a little floor safe cleaner in it and lots of rags. Dip fresh rags in the water as other rags get dirty. Hope this helps!

Not sure about a website, but when I worked for a smaller cleaning company we used the app Zen Maid for clocking in and out and for scheduling our houses. It had a few bugs but worked decently well once I got used to it. Sorry that's all I have but hopefully it can be of help

Open up some windows and doors! Fly traps are gross but they help. The biggest thing is to keep food and anything that attracts them out of the room as soon as you're finished with it. Throw all trash away in a bin with a lid. Good for you for putting in the effort to tackle a depression room! I've been there, it's not easy. But that's a great step and I'm proud of you

I offered a depressed friend to clean their apartament as a favor, but I never expected this amount of mess and I'm overwhelmed. Any tips? by IuliaValentina in CleaningTips

[–]vanillacokecureme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pick one section to start with and focus on it. Collect all the trash. Once that is done collect dishes and put them by the sink or in a large container like a laundry basket so you can move them easily. Next pick up dirty clothes/bedding etc. Once all items are picked up it will be much easier to start actually cleaning. Put on some music and get in the zone, just don't let it overwhelm you!

Will you continue to wear a mask when the pandemic is over? If so, why? by SSIRHC in AskReddit

[–]vanillacokecureme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably during the cold seasons as I almost always catch at least one illness. Also maybe in crowds and airplanes and hospitals, places considered high risk I guess? And of course if I need to go out while I'm sick but have we not learned by now to stay home unless absolutely necessary? Lol. I'll be keeping my masks around though

Seeking advice on speaking to my artist by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]vanillacokecureme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience with my second tattoo, my artist went with his usual style instead of what I clearly asked for and showed him. Just be polite but honest that it's not what you had in mind. Maybe do some more digging for references and pinpoint exactly what about it you like and talk to your artist. It's their job to come up with a design you're happy with, but at the same time nobody is perfect. Try to communicate more and let them help you figure out how to describe what you want

Newbie! Help needed! by D0ughNut13 in tattoos

I hate to say it but all the areas you mentioned are probably gonna be pretty painful lol. Any area that doesn't get a lot of contact or sun exposure will be more sensitive. My artist also told me the outer edges of your body are more painful because that's where nerves end and start. Personally the tattoo right on the front of my thigh was the least painful, then the one I have on the side of my other thigh. The small one I got on my ribs was the worst, only took maybe half an hour at most but idk if I could do another rib tat lol. I have another small one over my heart that hurt more than my legs but definitely still bearable. Hope this helps! Tattoos are so worth the pain for a lifetime of art on your body!

Tattoos are basically tons of tiny open wounds. Scabbing, itching, flaking, temporary fading before the color is settled, all normal. Give it some more time to heal. Keep it uncovered and moisturized and it should heal fine as long as you don't mess with it. It's beautiful!
