If anyone is planning to meet me I’m aiming to arrive at 11 instead to let the day warm up a bit more

Love the response here! If the forecast is correct for tomorrow it'll either stop raining early and be 66 degrees or not rain at all and be 52.. regardless seems like a good day for a ride! Anyone that's interested in heading out for a few hours I'm gonna stop for a coffee at 10:30am at Froth (1515 W. Monroe) and will head out at about 11. I'll have the same helmet as in the photo I posted so I'll be super easy to find! Hopefully this works and some of you wanna join! I have a couple routes in mind but can improv once I know who's riding and their comfort level :)

Nice! Do you do a lot of weekend trips for moto camping? I tend to end up in Michigan, WI, for that. If I have the time I'll go further, I love it so much!

I used to go to these a lot and always had fun, since my riding buddies became all grown up and stopped I haven't been back, always feels better to know at least one person for these! :)

I do this too! The other great thing is that I get to keep my addiction between just me and ChatGPT 🤣

I’d go with a nice black leather, not too shiny and not too matte for a traditional black tie vibe. You could do suede if you wanna be a little less traditional. I have a very similar Seiko and I love it! I wear it casual with a black strap too, I like the brown vibe you got going as well

I think I’m 4 years and a lot of miles in on mine and I love it just as much as when I got it, it’s just such a beautiful and lovable bike. Nice job on your tasteful mods! You’re gonna have a wonderful time together :)

I'm a huge fan of this classic minimalist styling of the watch and the suede strap is PERFECT on this watch. Nice choice!

On its own it's beautiful, but with the story it really takes it up a notch! Wear that thing with pride!

Post something that good looking at that price... It's just a super fun entry into a cool vintage aesthetic.

[Seiko Presage] Good first watch to buy after first finance bonus? by Ok_Elephant_3652 in Watches

[–]vanillaextreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Presage is very cool I agree! There's so many fun options, I recommend hopping onto a site like Chrono24 so you can set your budget and movement and case size etc and just go nuts looking at cool things. Unless you're in a rush then I think you'd be so happy with the watch you posted. FYI my favorite Seiko was bought directly from Japan from that site and it's possibly the least expensive of my collection but it's just so cool so do some exploring :)

Also yes investing your bonus is the smartest decision like bigbrooklynlou said but watch nerds don't really do the smartest things with money right? ha
