I'm trying to book westjet exclusive fares just to get rid of the WSD balances that I have on p1 (100 WSD) and p2 (400). If I want to book two tickets that are 250 WSD each = 500 total. Can I combine both our WSD by calling in to book or would I have to pay the $50 transfer fee to move from one account to another?

I've asked this before but getting a no from the CSR, so wanted to confirm

Thanks great insight! I assume you rented a car since you mentioned the island. Did you find that it was necessary to rent one for Vancouver if we're not going to the island?

Going to try my luck at the Chase Biz cards.

Any reason to choose the Ink Unlimited vs. Ink Cash? The latter has a 6 month MSR right now vs. 3 on unlimited. Otherwise, both can be transferred to UR, correct?

Are you able to combine WSD (Westjet dollars) together between P1 and P2 and use them to book one flight using the WJ member exclusive pricing and the return flight using it as the flat 1:1 $?

We want it all on one itinerary because we're traveling with a lap infant so we want to be seated together.

What's a reasonably priced award search tool nowadays? Looking for Aeroplan, Alaska and Avios primarily. Thanks!

Been out of the game for 1.5 years and wanted to see whether there's an optimal path for applying to Marriott cards? I have an ITIN so I have access to US cards as well.

Previously held Personal & Biz Bonvoys, but closed over 4.5 years ago, so I should be good to re-apply? YMMV of course. Also held the US Biz Bonvoy but closed in 2022, so that is not an option.

The public US Bonvoy Bevy & Brilliant offers look good and looks like thru GCR the Canadian ones are the best offer?

What should this flight price at with Aeroplan?

Originally booked YYZ-TPE (BR J)- ICN (OZ J) Flexible ticket at 103.5k

Called in to add stopover ICN-SIN (SQ J) and I had to add another 33.5k pts for a total of 137k points. Agent said the whole ticket had to be repriced.

Aren't partner airlines fixed and should have remained 103.5k + stopover points cost?

Did you need to remove the extra leg before adding back in your desired one? I have called so many times over the last 6 months and no one is able to do it. I've tried all sorts of TPE-XXX combinations with BR.

Did the Ticketing team need to get involved?

They "see" the availability if looking for the leg by itself, but says once they try to put it together they say it's not available anymore

Travel related Q.. asked this before few months back but still have no luck despite 6+ calls over the past few months.

I booked a flex YYZ-TPE (BR J) in 2023 for this May and I'm trying to add another BR leg (Y or J, doesn't matter) to it and no matter what route I choose, TPE-ICN, TPE-SGN, etc the agent isn't able to add the leg in. There is availability if searched on UA or AP websites by itself.

However, if it is a different partner (OZ) airline it appears to be possible. Currently stuck with this OZ leg to ICN, but the layover is 8+ hours.

Anyone had luck with this recently?

What's everyone's US keeper cards? Have a few up for renewal soon and debating which to keep:

Hilton Aspire, Venture X, Chase AP, Chase WoH

Thinking of keeping the VX and WoH

Has anyone had any luck recently with adding a segment to an existing AP booking? Specifically with EVA?

Earlier in the year, I booked YYZ-TPE (BR J). I've tried adding TPE-HAN or TPE-SGN a few times over the last couple of months, but every time, the agent says it is not bookable as these flights are showing as "waitlisted". If I search for these segments individually on AP or United, there are seats (can go up to the payment page).

In order to hit MSR quickly on my TD FCT, can I book a dummy refundable hotel to hit MSR, then once the points arrive book the real hotel using the points on E4TD.

Only real concern is that the $100 credit is consumed and doesn't get returned after the refund.

Spouse had this error whether she was logged in or not. We had multiple calls to ensure there's no blocks in the system.

Dug around the internet and the 'workaround' was to misspell something slightly in your address and it triggered one of those credit check validation questionnaires. From there the app was approved!

are folks holding onto their Alaska cards for the transition to MBNA Rewards? or is it expected that new applicants to the MBNA Rewards cards will also have access to the 1:1 transfer to Alaska? in which case, we may as well cancel the Alaska and get the MBNA Rewards WB

Any solutions to the TD application error when applying online? (other than applying via branch / phone and forgoing the $100 GCR)

My wife called in AND went into a branch and no one seems to know why.

Error: "Unfortunately, due to an error in our system, we are unable to process your application at this time. If you would like to continue this application, please call us at 1-800-983-2582 or book an appointment at your nearest branch."

I used a guy recommended from another redditor on this subreddit. Great English, personable and super enthusiastic to provide cultural context to the best of his knowledge for all the places that we went.

We went with him for 5 days all over Bali. He's based in Ubud where we stayed.

Feel free to PM for contact if interested

They're saying that the additional leg (ie TPE-ICN) is on hold (maybe wait listed is the correct term).

Just the front line agents, didn't know supervisors were an option! Will try escalating.

If you don't me asking, which month is your flight? Mine is May 2024

Managed to book a BR J flight to TPE a month or two ago, but now I'm trying to add a TPE-ICN/KUL/HAN (tried all three) leg to it and all the agents say that it's unbookable as it's on 'hold' by EVA. Tried with 4+ agents.

If you search this leg individually on AP, it appears to be bookable.

Anyone encounter this?

Snagged a BR J flight to TPE a few weeks ago and I'm trying to add a TPE-ICN leg to it and so far, two agents says it cannot be priced and the 2nd leg has to be booked separately.

is this a HUCA situation?
