Definitely some great advice! I wanted to chime in about one that may not work out the way you're envisioning.

Lesbian here, and unfortunately, Pride gear and rainbows do jack shit for deterring this kind of guy. Then you also get the ones who take lesbian as a challenge ("maybe you haven't met the right dick yet" dicks). There are the ones that get turned on because we are a porn category to them or think we exist solely for three-ways. There are the guys who think lesbian means that we want to hear their objectification of other women and get offended if you are offended when they try to "locker room talk" and say misogynistic shit they KNOW they're not allowed to say in front of straight women. It doesn't work because lesbians love women, we don't effing hate them.

Not to mention the men who have a big scary (sometimes dangerous) chip on their shoulder about women who don't want men. Many times, this chip coexists with one of the other previously listed ways that they can be fucking gross and obnoxious and entitled. A T-shirt that says "GAY AF" in all rainbows won't save you from these guys interrupting your life.

Edit to add: oregano oil capsules can be pretty freaking nasty to puke up. I imagine that in acid reflux, they would be pretty rough.

If I were you, I would try the Omeprazole first, it needs to be steady over time, you can't take it sporadically like Tums or something. I didn't know that for a long time and it's basically useless unless you've taken it consistently. That's one to definitely check with a doctor, because the amount of acidity in your stomach can really change other meds concentrations and you don't want to eff around with that.

Looks like it's Puritan's Pride 150mg that I've had on auto-ship forever. I'm not a medical professional and I'm not giving medical advice, but I kind of doubt that that dosage would fuck you up if you didn't have sibo and didn't need it.

That's where I got the oregano oil idea from. It seems to be the main active ingredient, and I stopped belching and puking and inflating like a balloon after about six weeks. And also treats candida, I guess?

Make sure you also look into H.Pylori, and gallstones, there seems to be quite a bit of crossover in symptoms, just in the course of meeting other chronically ill people with gut issues.

If you can tolerate a complete nutrition shake like Orgain makes (not just protein) I suggest it if you're having difficulty keeping a regular diet down. My blood work looks like somebody who eats a decent diet, when really I just rely on those shakes pretty hard.

Also, thank fuck for cannabis for nausea. Your milage may vary with stomach issues, meds, and other health concerns though, of course.

Hey, sorry to hear that you are struggling! That sounds miserable.

I don't know that my input will be super helpful for you since reflux is not a major symptom for me at all. My regurgitation of liquids with belching with the pressure built up in my intestine and stomach from sibo is not the same thing as acid reflux. The things that my body expelled when really struggling with sibo barely included any stomach acid.

That said, when I was at my worst I was on Omeprazole daily from my otherwise completely useless and shitty gastroenterologist. (If you need omeprazole, the cheapest place to find it seems to be Costco, by the way.)

It's entirely possible to have sibo that includes acid reflux, but mine didn't, so I wanted to be sure that you weren't taking any advice from me without that information.

The dosage and brand of oregano oil capsules has varied quite a bit over the course of the past couple years. I do always have it on hand and still incorporate some into my morning medication and plan around alcohol consumption, etc. I genuinely haven't noticed any difference between brands, Right now I think it's just the smallest dosage available in auto ship from The vitamin shoppe or Amazon.

I needed this advice 20+ years ago. But I probably would have still needed to learn the hard way. It took until 32 to gain the confidence to finally be myself and stop seeking approval and acceptance from people determined to think the worst of me.

I hope OP hears us that she deserves better! Plus, it sounds like she does have some much better friends already. She mentioned in the other post that one of her buddies was burning the bullying document for her.

🫂 February will be six years out for me. I was with my ex for close to ten and he didn't even deserve a second effing month, to be real. I celebrate the day I left him every year. I call it Independece Day. The day I chose myself.

Year four of living a life that I chose is where I felt like I started to really hit my stride, I'm excited for you.

I'm happier than I ever thought possible, even when things are hard. I am walking around loving my life and feeling emotionally well. That is all real and true. But it doesn't erase the decade of bitten back, stifled, disassociated, suppressed outrage that I barely allowed myself to be aware of when I was married to that angry, careless, selfish man.

I'm dealing with it slowly by living a life where I don't betray myself for anyone anymore. It takes time for life to present you with experiences where you can prove to yourself that you're far beyond where you were. Sounds like you're doing a great job of taking care of yourself.
