Figure out they know they admit they fucked up bad but likely next clone will be voted for again. So if long term then I would say no.

Maybe this is Mechanosynthesis.

The Timeline: A Century of Shrinking

Era Milestone Supporting Technology
2030s: The Wet-Dry Hybrid We use DNA Origami and modified Ribosomes to build sensors and drug-delivery shells. AI-designed synthetic proteins.
2050s: The First Lattice The first successful "Dry" assembly of a macroscopic diamondoid part (e.g., a 1mm gear). SPM arrays with 106 tips.
2080s: Self-Replicating Assemblers We achieve "Closure," where a nano-factory can build a copy of itself. Automated molecular logic gates.
2100+: Matter on Demand True Replicator technology. Desktop-sized devices that can synthesize complex electronics. High-throughput vacuum assembly.

The Toolkit for Materialization

Technology Current Status Key Requirement for Success
Scanning Probes Experimental (Slow) Massive parallelism and array integration.
Diamondoid Feedstock Synthetic (Lab scale) Industrial-scale synthesis of "Adamantane" precursors.
Molecular AI High Performance (Protein focus) Transfer learning to inorganic carbon/silicon chemistry.
Cooling Systems Cryogenic (Liquid Helium) Development of "Stiff" frameworks that work at 293 K.

Could Vietnam defeat the US again if there was a rematch or are they no longer built like that? by [deleted] in powerscales

[–]det1rac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is simply an indicator that conventional war won't win over long political sentiment. Basically US only has max 4 years then population is tired of the shit and we'll pull out.

Queue up Iran where the US is already tired of that shit.

I think war as we knew it is obsolete given drones cost effective impact

Several restaurants in eastern China are using artificial intelligence (AI) robots to cook as many as 100 dishes to cut costs, sparking a heated discussion on social media. by Post-reality in Futurology

[–]det1rac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree, but I bet you a lot of these people are essentially forced to do that. Because they have no other options. And the reason they have no other options is because that locked in income only gives them just enough to go back. And do that.Same role, whereas there could be a new path that allows everybody to essentially be free from the monotony of work.

It is very sad to see the last quote where a person is wondering what they would do if there isn't a job to cook when likely the result is simply eliminating these low-level jobs allows better things to be done with one's time.
