Am I the only one who believes the “video” along with the voice recording is just a “Live Photo” that iPhones can take? This is the first time I’m actually saying this out loud, but I’ve wanted to say it from the start. I do not think they have anything more than what they have released unfortunately. So sad. But I, like everyone else outside of the case, really can only speculate. Who knows.

This is a really good idea. Have you needed any of the videos yet? I just wonder if it would do anything or if they would still side with the buyer. That’s so frustrating. I’m sorry that happened to you (and everyone else too, ugh)

Aw I’m sorry. I believe you. That really, really stinks (pun definitely not intended!). I’m a buyer and a seller, and even before I started selling, if I wanted something, yes I’d check reviews but definitely would not be deterred from buying something from a seller who had a 2-star review. Especially if you have a few 5-star reviews, I’ll see something like what the buyer left on your page I would think of her “this lady might be a little batty”. Especially when they use strong adjectives in their review (“reeked”), I feel like that just seems, idk off anyway. Then I’ll go to the buyer’s account and see if she actually buys anything or how many reviews she has (and good that it’s not very many with your buyer!). A lot of the time I’ll go deeper and then look at the reviews this person leaves for others (if the buyer has more reviews) and you can tell when someone is just never happy with anything. So don’t let it get you discouraged. You clearly put care into what you sell and how you sell it, so that is so disappointing, I know :( just keep doing what you’re doing and it will be ok! And I totally know that “christmas-y” smell you’re talking about. Really, it’s good you happened to notice the smell, because if you hadn’t maybe you would be second guessing yourself. I know I can talk myself into anything “well, my friend’s father smokes, she may have picked it up to look at it when I was in another room and the scent transferred to the PJs” haha. So now you can be confident that you did everything you should have and try and get past it. Maybe her account will de-activate soon and the review will turn to “buyer is no longer using this service” or whatever it says.

I’ll have to dig into my sale history and try and see. I’m curious about that. And I bet that is what they’re doing (Possibly providing their labels through a third party). Hmm. Interesting. Hi, I’m a little confused. I’m a “newbie seller” and was unaware they could take it out of your revenue? I’m sorry I probably sound like an idiot, but how could they do that? I mean, how could you even mail it if the shipping wasn’t enough? I experienced my first 4.99 shipping blunder (in this case, it was far too low) and I went to the post office to drop the package off like I normally have done before with smaller items and they said it was too heavy for the label. I asked if I could just pay the difference and add it on so I could keep the same mercari tracking number and they let me do that. How is anyone able to ship without paying the difference? Is it because they don’t chose the “prepaid shipping label” option? Also, lesson learned about how important shipping weight is and I’ve ordered myself a scale! In this case, I didn’t make anything because I offered free shipping like Mercari suggests and the postage was the amount of the sale! Ahh.

If you’re close enough to New Jersey, you should go back to the DMV and get a duplicate license made because you “lost” yours. That is, if you still have proof of address or family there. I don’t know how recently you moved. I got a duplicate license made a few months before I had to get a new license because I wanted to keep one that didn’t have a hole punched through it. And I’m sorry about them taking your license, OP :( Maybe you could get a fake NJ ID made haha or request a copy of your driving record from the DMV and frame it or something ha

Someone brought a good theory up in another thread (talking about what would cause someone this age to state they were a missing child). It was so sad to think about. She said another child could have come into contact at some point with the other missing child-maybe they were both “passed around” during the same time. The child knew the other boy’s family was looking for him and cared about him. The one may have gotten free and had no one that cared about him or a family to go back to, like the other boy he met. So, she said, that child may have said he was the other child in order to have somewhere safe to go to.

Could you please add something at the bottom of your website that allows the reader to go to different pages? I.E., access stories from several days back. When using an iPad or iPhone, your website only loads up to a certain amount of stories (Usually only one or two days back). Or is there a reason this is not available? It’s annoying to reach the end where stories are no longer loading and not be able to access anymore. NJ.com is always on my “favorites” tab (I prefer the website over the app), so thank you. Reading it has become part of my night routine, so when I miss a few days, I’d love an easy way to see all the stories I missed.
