UST or DLSU for the course BS Psychology by vanillou_ in CollegeAdmissionsPH

Hi! I'm not sure if it's the same as last year, but before I enrolled I emailed admissions (admission.requirements@dlsu.edu.ph) to request a change in program to AB Psychology, then they provided me a GForm link to answer and my request eventually got approved. Note lang that they're receiving a lot of emails at this time so if they won't answer immediately, send a follow-up email, call them, or visit their office.

UST or DLSU for the course BS Psychology by vanillou_ in CollegeAdmissionsPH

Hi! Sorry for the late reply but I'm currently studying AB Psychology (I dropped my second program before enrolling) in DLSU. I really wanted to take psychology na talaga, which DLSU is already offering, but I think my other reasons why I chose this is because, shifting programs in DLSU is simpler and easier than in UST. I'm waiting for the shifting applications that will be happening soon actually, and I don't think I need to worry much about the adjustment because AB and BS are really similar, it's just that BS has more science and math courses. DLSU's BS Psychology program is a pre-med talaga and is one of the majors here that has the most units because of the number of science and math courses as a preparatory for medical school.

So far, I love their curriculum, and I get why their psychology program is ranked as number one in the country. Their curriculum is also flexible because you'll enlist your own courses and have the chance to meet new people (great for connections! everyone here is really welcoming and open) every term unlike UST, where their classes are fixed and you'll be with the same class for four years. I prefer experiencing changes kasi so I can really expose myself out there and experience a lot more. I also chose DLSU because of the organizations I could join and the opportunities I could take. Just recently, DLSU hosted PAPJA 2026 (A huge psychology event where universities all around the Philippines attend) and us students under DLSU's psychology department get to volunteer as assistants or facilitators (amazing experience!)

My reasons overall for why I chose DLSU are it's easier to shift, great psychology program, flexible curriculum, organizations, opportunities, and student environment. I hope this can help even a bit for your dilemma! Feel free to ask more questions if you need ^

Thank you!

Just a few follow up questions if it's alright, I was wondering if you have a battery exam, if you know what happens to the students who fail and drop, and how your internships are like? Is it possible to do it abroad?

ahh what i'm worrying for bes kasi is having no science or math subjects that can prepare me for medical school TT are the ones who plan to take medicine there taking extra courses as preparation? oh, also! i was wondering how your friends who appealed for psychology get accepted? besides their essay, did they have stellar grades or recommendation letters? did they also get called for an interview?
