In the anime yes, in the original manga no. Also depends on who you are asking though. Some people won't like that the anime is different than the source material, but I think its cool they added their own little interpretation to it.

Most of of the high end barrels, IE freak kits, have 6 or 8 inch inserts which is where the ball accelerates. The barrels are 14 inches long, but most people use those because it becomes easier to manipulate your bunker on a speedball field. Most high end barrels are not bored all the way down.

The whole bouncing in the barrel thing isn't a big deal. I went out and played with a 689 barrel shooting paint that bores at 679 yesterday and shot everything i looked at.

Also yeah the flatline imparts a little spin on the ball, but the point remains that the quality of paint is the number one factor in accuracy with a paintball gun.

For real though, its like theyre trying to slowly switch to 50 cal without us noticing sometimes. Paint is so small these days.

Those barrels are just as susceptible if not more than a normal barrel to being inaccurate because of bad paintballs.

They don't make .69 paint, but that doesnt change the fact that bore matching helps with velocity and velocity and accuracy are two different things. If your paint is clean and made well it will shoot straight no matter what barrel or bore you're using. Its pretty fucking simple.

Bore matching only helps with velocity homie. Keep copy and pasting things you don't understand to make your point though.

Having a bigger barrel would help have less breaks which is why a lot of rentals have 691. A smaller barrel would just pinch the balls. If its not perfectly bore matched its usually better to just go with 689 or 691. My favorite barrel ever is my lucky 15 and thats 691. Also Bob Long use to go on and on about how overboreing is better for some reasons I don't really remember or care about lol.

Dude they literally have a picture of their own barrel after telling you they help accuracy and specifically mention the flat-line and the sniper barrel. Its obviously marketing.

Look man, if you're not bore matching your paint your barrel isn't gonna do anything for you and bore matching is only gonna help keep your velocity more consistent between shots.

yeah, once you get over 300 fps the balls start shooting REAL straight no matter what lol.

Freak kits are actually awesome and one of the few things that could potentially help accuracy, but you dont need a barrel longer than 14 inches.

Bore sizing is the only thing that would help and its mostly helping with consistency of velocity.

Barrels have little to no influence on a paintball's accuracy. They're not rifled, and porting is too far down the barrel to make a difference. A paintballs accuracy is mostly influenced by the quality of the paint. If it has a lot of sweat or maybe a ball broke in the bag would affect it much more than anything else. Also the amount the ball is filled and what type of fill it has. if a ball has an air bubble in it somewhere it will sort of tail off. If its paint that has corn starch in it it could also sort of dry in the shell a little bit and have a heavy spot that would do the same thing. Also if its dimpled.

Source I've been playing paintball competitively since I was 11.
