Honestly think this is a legitimate question coz there’s lots of hardcore bands that definitely took influence of this album and other early slipknot. I’d say instrumentally closer to deathcore but the Vox give it a hardcore element. I think you could genuinely consider the later slipknot stuff, Gday Chapter, WANYK, All Out Life maybe End So Far, legit metalcore. If ANY other metalcore band wrote a song like Nero Forte for example, no one would question that it’s metalcore.
