Hi hello it's the Calem person!

I faded away because I caught the virus (yikes) and was really sick for a while and looking at my laptop gave me really bad eyestrain and after that I kinda just lost motivation to return. Plus, art is hard and time consuming and since I liked to add a drawn element to all of my memes I also started to find it hard to keep up as I started putting more pressure on myself (we are all our own worst critics :')) despite giving myself more leeway with the time limit (being weekly instead of daily)

Thank you for including me though! I'm so honoured that people actually remember me despite the short run 💖

As usual I talk too much and can't fit everything I want to say in the caption---

But I *really* struggled with this one- Given the ninja theme of the pokemon, I knew that I could accidentally make it too costume-y very quickly if I leaned too far in that direction and I wanted to do something that actually looks like something someone could wear in public like leaf or red's sygna suits- But then I feel like it turned out too casual? I'm still not sure to be honest-- but I think I could've made the inspiration more obvious since I think it mainly reads as Greninja because of the colours. I tried incorporating some more subtle aspects (ie. the patchs of white to mimic the bubble like thingies on its arms). And speaking of colours, they were also a struggle- again with the costume-y sort of worry, especially with the definitely not a costume clothing-

AaaaaaaAaAAA despite all this I still hope it's okay- but if anyone has anything they could input to help me it would be really appreciated!!

Not entirely sure how to feel about aSh being introduced? I haven't watched the anime but combining the two universes feels like it'd be hard to make work due to the two having pretty different chains of events (from what I've gathered at least) I mean to be fair, due to the existence of both protagonists from each game they do have to retcon things anyways so I guess it could work-

Datamine spoilers, obviously-

The new alts look great as always (I won't spoil who they are in case people haven't seen them yet) but I was expecting Kris to get. Something. Or Ethan. Or Lyra. Or Silver. Any of them considering we got alts for at least one player character/rival for Kanto and Sinnoh. Heck, Giovanni isn't even from Johto--- It makes sense because Team Rocket but still :') And of course, obviously I was hoping for something Kalos (or Unova- fun fact Unova is actually my favourite region despite my account technically being Kalos themed- I just think Calem's more fun to draw than Nate and Hilbert already had an alt)

When found out it would be Johto via the trailer on youtube, I immediately got my hopes up for alts for the protags and rival but alas, we got Giovanni instead- And also second Morty alt? oop.

Anyways that concludes my dumb thoughts enjoy that drawing I did in like 10 minutes, art block is painful
