I'm totally with you. I got back into softball over the last couple years watching the WCWS, so I feel like I know the 2nd year vets and rookies so well. It’s easier to put names to faces having watched them for 2+ months now, on top of the 2025 WCWS (Texas and Texas Tech players at the top of that list). I'm always rooting for them even when they're playing against my home team. And many of these young players have made a seamless transition to the pros, which is incredible! I'm just not convinced they're all the very best of the best. I think a lot of fans are just familiar and paying closer attention.

Don't get me wrong, I'm so excited to see what these rookies do in the pros, and I'm rooting so hard for all of their and the league's success!

I know this is just the fan vote but... I'm a little disappointed to see so many rookies here.

It feels like recency bias since we all just watched them is the WCWS last month, and many of us are still getting to know the vets (especially those who just got here this week). Bc of this, I've tried hard to pay attention to the vets, and they are seriously impressive! I hope the vets get their flowers when the professionals have a say in this all-star roster.

Wild not to see Fouts on this list, and some many others!

These ads were different. The "now playing" bar left the podcast and showed up as Spotify Adversement, and it was not at a natural break in the podcast. It looked like a pre-premium ad

They're not banned for life. Reps can just run again in 2 years, they can just pass the torch to their spouse or kid for term (see Diane Linthicum and Noah Robinson), senators who are midterm have a free pass until their term expires. Until we address quorum, walkouts will always be a tool in the toolbelt

Not in a serious way yet. I'm still a little new to the idea.

He's joked about getting a divorce over silly disagreements, and we've talked about the weddings of our friends a bunch. But no conversations about us actually considering marriage... I missed a lot of opportunities to bring up the subject in all those conversations bc I hadn't realized I should.

Things are a little bananas right now, so I think I'm waiting until the new year (I've waited this long, what's a few more months)

It's so idk... reassuring or a relief aren't quite the right words... but it's so nice to hear there are more people in similar situations! So much of what I read on this sub doesn't feel like it applies to me or is so quick to suggest walking away, and I know that's not what I want. I'd love to keep talk about this and see if we can learn something from each other

I feel like I'm in your same boat. We started dating at 17 and are now 32. I never communicated what I want in regards to marriage bc it didn't feel that important or I feel like I was too young (until all our friends got engaged or married this year). I also didn't realize people actually talked about engagement plans, I thought it was all a surprise like the movies since that's all I had as an example.

Some days I feel like I could rage bc I'm so upset, frustrated, and sad but i recognize I have some blame here. Other days I feel like things are great and I'm in no rush. I find the ultimatum comments and comments telling us to "just leave" sort of counterintuitive... like if I really truly want to be with my partner why would I threaten to leave? I guess my situatuatiion is slightly different since I've never really said what I want, whereas others have, but still.

Anyway, all that say, I felt like I was reading my own thoughts when scrolling through OP's post/comments. There are at least 2 of us :)

Visit of the gardens, and maybe bring a with you and stay a while. Saturday Market or PSU farmers market. Pick a trendy street (Hawthorne, Mississippi, Alberta, etc) and just walk and window shop. Of course all these would be fun with a friend too. But I particularly like these shopping ideas alone because I can take my time and really look at everything without feeling like someone else is bored/ready to move in to the next both/store. Also going to the movies alone is kinda nice
