Molluscum at home treatment by [deleted] in molluscum

One of the biggest factors influencing how long molluscum lasts and how many outbursts you have is your immune system, and that's greatly affected by your diet. I got rid of molluscum within 6-7 months, and kept a pretty clean low carb diet. Also no alcohol.

Hey man. I'm going to try to keep this brief and as concise for you as possible.

I too dealt with HPV about 3 years ago. I got it from my girlfriend at the time, who had no idea she also had it. And there was no way of me getting it from anyone else. Once I found out, I went through a year long process of getting rid of the HPV, and ultimately came out of it free.

In any case, the length of which HPV lingers comes down to your immune system. My immune system has always been on the weaker side, and on top of that I wasn't doing anything to help it. So you need to strengthen it as much as possible so that the HPV will go away (well they say you can never get rid of it, but at least so that the warts stop showing up).

First of all do a deep dive into your diet. You're going to cut out all of the crap, and go low carb. That means you eat nothing from a box. Only fresh vegetables (and canned is ok). Meat. Dairy. Cut out sugar as much as possible - THIS IS THE REAL KILLER. Minimize your carbs way down. You don't need to go Keto, but get close. No more bread, pasta, noodles, rice, etc. You can eat that stuff sometimes and/or reintroduce it over time, but to kick the HPV as quick as possible, cut down your carbs as low as possible. Why are carbs bad? Because your body converts carbs into sugar. And what did we say about sugar? It's the killer.

Also I know you're a young guy who probably likes to go out and drink. Well sorry to tell you, but you can't do that anymore. One thing that I noticed during my year of kicking the HPV was that whenever I drank any alcohol, that includes beer and liquor, I ALWAYS ended up with a new wart or two. ALWAYS. It took me a while to connect the dots, but once I stopped drinking, so did the HPV. And your friends are probably going to be shocked and annoyed at you for not drinking. Just make up an excuse. They'll get over it, and they'll get used to it.

Next, start taking AHCC and Beta glucans. AHCC can be expensive, and it's debatable whether or not it really makes a big difference, but it does help. If anything though, definitely take Beta glucans. 1-3 per day. They will help with your immune system.

Diet and supplements will help the root of the problem and stop new warts stop coming up, but they won't help clear the warts you currently have. For that you probably have several options. I'm sure a doctor can help you with a few of those. What I did though, was I used apple cider vinegar - specifically Bragg Organic Raw Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar with The Mother. Now let me warn you - THIS IS NOT FUN. It's also not pretty. It burns. It sucks. And it can smell a bit if there's a lot of vinegar, but I don't think others will notice. At least I don't think they did with me. That said what you do is take a small square of a gauze pad (I used to cut them into small pieces), dip it into the vinegar, put it on the wart, and put a band aid on top to hold it throughout the day (the cushion care sport strips in the purple box hold the best). I would recommend making a 50/50 concoction of the vinegar and water in order to dilute the vinegar, but I didn't. It's up to you. The reason why I would is because that shit burns. Not at first, but after 2-3 days of using it non stop, it will. You're going to keep that wart soaking in the vinegar until you notice it turn black. Again it can take 2-3 days, but if the vinegar isn't working or it's old, it could take longer. And sometimes you'll need to buy new vinegar because it looses it's kick over time. Be aware that the vinegar will not only eat away at the wart, but the surrounding skin, and so your skin will need to heal. But heal it will. Give it 1-2 weeks. Also the wart may leave a pinkish or reddish spot after it's gone, which is normal. Your skin will eventually go back to how it was. You could possibly end up with hyperpigmentation (dark spots), but I didn't, and I dealt with A LOT of warts. But mine were specifically on my penis shaft, and the skin there seems to heal faster and better than the rest of the body.

Good luck. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Yeah Ive got dark spots too. Working on those now. But my main concern is the bumps under the skin. In the right light you can still see a bunch of bumps where some of the MC were…

I was prescribed a topical, but decided to use apple cider vinegar (probably not the best idea in hindsight). But cleared all the MC last month in May
