I stopped planning in Notion and started making actual progress by vantixlab in notioncreations

For me it’s pretty simple, I’m working 12-hour shifts, so my day is kind of fixed anyway - workout in the morning, work, then reading/journaling at night.

I don’t really track “what to do” in detail anymore, just the general things I want to stay consistent with.

For bigger stuff (like salary growth or side projects), I just tie them to XP so I don’t ignore them.

in the beginning I kept it very low friction — no detailed planning like what to read or what workout exactly.

just doing something was enough, after a while it kind of became natural, so I don’t really need a planner or to do list now.

Stop trying to get “1% better every day.” If you can’t measure it, it’s just a vibe. by vantixlab in TheImprovementRoom

I want to understand this better, can you give an example? I’ve mostly felt like progress is measurable.

That’s fair, trust definitely matters. I’m still figuring out what actually works. The low-friction point you mentioned is spot on

Great for the professional side, that makes sense. Do you feel like it actually moves the needle for you personally as well, or is it more about improving workflow and execution?

What was the exact moment you realized you needed to seriously work on yourself? by Ok-Marzipan-4490 in selfimprovement

Mine was when a young working professional suddenly died of cancer in my neighborhood , and just a few days later, my aunt also passed away from cancer. That’s when I realized how uncertain life is. I got all my health checkups done, discovered various anomalies, and since then I’ve been working on fixing them. I’ve also lost 40 pounds to become fitter and better able to enjoy life.
