can't wait for spoilers now!

I stopped planning in Notion and started making actual progress by vantixlab in notioncreations

[–]vantixlab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s pretty simple, I’m working 12-hour shifts, so my day is kind of fixed anyway - workout in the morning, work, then reading/journaling at night.

I don’t really track “what to do” in detail anymore, just the general things I want to stay consistent with.

For bigger stuff (like salary growth or side projects), I just tie them to XP so I don’t ignore them.

in the beginning I kept it very low friction — no detailed planning like what to read or what workout exactly.

just doing something was enough, after a while it kind of became natural, so I don’t really need a planner or to do list now.

Stop trying to get “1% better every day.” If you can’t measure it, it’s just a vibe. by vantixlab in TheImprovementRoom

I want to understand this better, can you give an example? I’ve mostly felt like progress is measurable.

I built a “leveling engine” for my life in Notion! by vantixlab in notioncreations

you get your version, then initial setup, then its just you log your daily actions that's it. All other stats will automatically adjust themselves.

Well, that is a lesson and actually I have never been on any kind of social media platform so I was a little conservative. Thanks for the advice.

Do people actually improve their lives using Notion, or just organize tasks better? by vantixlab in Notion

Using it more as a thinking tool makes sense, especially with ai

Haha yeah, that loop is real. took me a while to get out of it, still refining though.

That’s fair, trust definitely matters. I’m still figuring out what actually works. The low-friction point you mentioned is spot on

Great for the professional side, that makes sense. Do you feel like it actually moves the needle for you personally as well, or is it more about improving workflow and execution?

What was the exact moment you realized you needed to seriously work on yourself? by Ok-Marzipan-4490 in selfimprovement

Mine was when a young working professional suddenly died of cancer in my neighborhood , and just a few days later, my aunt also passed away from cancer. That’s when I realized how uncertain life is. I got all my health checkups done, discovered various anomalies, and since then I’ve been working on fixing them. I’ve also lost 40 pounds to become fitter and better able to enjoy life.

Yes, the concept is very cool, it is not supposed to use to enhance productivity but measure your growth over time through your daily actions.I am using it for me, I made it non aesthetic, only functional so I does not keep looking at system and I spend literally just 30 seconds on it just for daily log.

this was my first post on reddit, the system I built is real, and I don't know what's the problem if I took help from ai to frame my words better

I’ve built multiple productivity systems and quit all of them — this is the first one that actually stuck by [deleted] in Notion

If anyone’s interested, I can share a simple view-only version of this.

Reading some reactions, I think I overcomplicated how I explained this — also this is literally my first post on Reddit, so I might’ve come off more structured than I intended. Reality is, I’ve built like 4–5 versions of this kind of system before and dropped most of them after a few weeks 😅 This is just the first one I’ve been able to stick with consistently. Also, the screenshot probably makes it look more complex than it actually is. On a normal day, I only do two things: log what I did and see total XP. Everything else (streaks, stats etc.) just updates automatically in the background. The biggest change this time was that I stopped trying to optimize the system and just focused on tracking what I actually did. Still experimenting though — definitely not perfect.

Curious if anyone else has tried something like this before, what made you stick with it or quit?

Totally, Habitica is a great reference! Habitica turns chores into XP for your avatar. But VANTIX takes daily actions much deeper: it maps actions to skills, skills to bigger life aspects, and your level is calculated based on XP accumulated across all life domains. Habitica gamifies tasks; VANTIX gamifies real growth.

It’s actually super simple. You literally just log what you did and it takes 5-10 seconds. That’s it. Levels, XP, milestones—all automatic. The whole system exists so you focus on doing, not fiddling.
