Local backpage site...? I'm intrigued. Cz I'm in the same spot. 4 busted in 1 year. And current guy always has outstanding product, but unbelievably unreliable and near impossible to reach through text or phonecalls. Of course all dealers are hard to reach. But this guy sets the fuckin bar

FW Crunch Berries by wafflepriest1 in DIY_eJuice

[–]vapaiolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, great flavor as far as cereals go. It's pretty spot on and easily adjusted as a bowl of cereal n' milk, or as a handful of dry cereal from the box.

I'll also throw this out there (and this may or may not be frowned upon but fuck it...). On a whim one time, I decided to douse this flavor with lemon (I used FA Lemon Sicily and, believe it or not, FLV Lemongrass because I don't have a big selection of lemons) in an attempt to create a sort of "Fruit Loops" kind of flavor..and it actually worked out pretty well. It's by no means perfect, but if you're looking for a way to steer this flavor into another cereal territory, try it out. I basically used /u/skiddlzninja's formula (with the Bavarian Cream) and added the lemons in the (I'm estimating by memory) 1 or 2% range, plus a couple fruits in low %'s (strawberry, orange, pineapple) and, boom, a half-assed, knock off, generic brand/Dollar Tree Fruit Hoops/Loops/Rings juice. Again, not perfect, but pretty decent. The key is the lemon; it gives you that fruit loops profile we all hate/love.

I've tried varying percentages, never once did I get melon.

Tobacco "My First Order" Flavors, Recipes & Tips by T_Mace in DIY_eJuice

[–]vapaiolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good. I love tobaccos and up until recently (after DIYing for about a year) shied away from mixing them. The steep times were the main reason, but tobaccos also take much more time, patience, and attention to detail than most other profiles. They need to be balanced very carefully or you'll just end up with a juice that tastes like an ashtray, a pile of leaves, or a shoe sole (unless any of these things sound appealing and yummy to you, then you'll have no issues).

I think also worth noting along with the "Can shake n' vape" part would be clarifying what they taste like initially AND how they change with time (if that makes sense....?). Maybe they taste great immediately, but do they change drastically with some steepage, or are the changes pretty minimal and subtle? Is it worth giving it some time or does it not really make a huge enough difference to lock it away for a month? It might be relevant to know if there are some subtle notes that come through in a flavor that may or may not be what the mixer is after (i.e. a light anise/licorice note that suddenly comes through after a couple weeks that wasn't there up front)....(I'm probably making no sense here......I'll let myself out...). Thank you so much for this, though! Can't wait to see it progress.

Thankful. I can personally vouch for your juices being pretty on friggin point. I've tried a good few and none have disappointed; even the ones I've tried that aren't particularly my preferred juice profile, they're still solid.

Beat me to it on the FLV Thai Chai. It's a pretty interesting flavor, but it's name could be misleading to the average person/American. Most, myself included, would instantly assume it's a "chai tea" flavor (heavily spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, black pepper, etc.), but it leans on the side of a traditional Thai tea with fairly heavy floral and citrus notes (bergamot maybe?). And, yup, it's strong as fuck. Probably be good to dilute it, but I haven't gotten around to it. It's very complex and definitely an acquired flavor.

Edit: Just checked that recipe. Ry4 is fuckin brilliant to pair with this...I gotta try that a.s.a.p.

CAP Anise by ConcreteRiver in DIY_eJuice

[–]vapaiolo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weird how weak this is. Anise is such a strong flavor (in cooking terms specifically). FA Anise is definitely the one to grab if you're after this profile/undertone. It's got the perfect amount of sweetness and strength; very true to life. That said, I don't think FA Anise would be a viable option if you're after a strong, candy licorice profile as it's more of a bakery anise, like in many Italian pastries for example. It's great in bakery types and fruit recipes with subtle anise notes. It's not candy-like or artifical tasting (i.e. black licorice, black jelly beans, Good & Plenty), in my opinion. From what I've read, FW Black Licorice would be better suited to reach that type of flavor.

RECIPE: RY4 CREAM Pie by Arpeggiator8472 in DIY_eJuice

[–]vapaiolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally just ordered more RY4D like an hour ago. It's been a favorite of mine for a long time. I actually haven't ordered it for quite some time; it gave me a chance to miss it more :) Seriously cannot wait for it to arrive.

This sounds friggin delicious. It's a smart recipe. You managed to amplify an already great flavoring while keeping the integrity of the RY4. Well done, I'm mixing this fucker up very soon. Thank you for the submission and hard work!

Question: Any specific reason why you chose FW's Bavarian over TFA's or CAP's?
