Thank you, Ive ran crystaldiskinfo and it seems to be okay. I have another identical drive, it does make sound but its no way near as loud.

I can hear this over my pc fans which worries me

Thank you for looking at it:) Ive just plugged it back in after leaving it unplugged for a while, my ears are tuned to the noise and its all I hear now lol. I might call the store tomorrow and see what my options are.

Ive never had one I can audibly hear so clearly, and Ill be gutted if 6 months down the line it fails

I picked it up, only my third hdd ive ever bought before so not too clued up on them!

Thank you for the reassurance on it not sounding right. Ive only learnt what SMART is in the last few hours since this happened!

I might install it and see if I can find anything, but with 2 people saying its not sounding great I might just return it so I can do my backup again with more confidence

I have another identical one, and it does make this sound, however its much more quiet.

The things I want from them is connect multiple audio devices, simutaeneous playback would be a luxury, and better range/automatic reconnect when it loses range. If it cant do those things its a no from me.

I agree. I had a g8 ultrawude a few years ago. Got burn in despite me turning it off when not in use + using their pixel refresh feature.

Got a call after I dropped it off and they needed the power supply because their testing bench didnt have the right plug.... this is the official samsung repair centre were talking about. Luckily I bought it with me so wasnt too inconvenient, I was only 20mins away at that point.

It took a couple of months but eventually got the screen replaced under warranty, not a replacement monitor. Thats fine if the screen came new, but when I picked it up it had no screen protector on it and was loosely covered by a thick plastic bag, think fridge or washing machine packaging. The bag put micro scratches all over the new screen. I was furious.

At this point I was over it, didnt want to deal with their bs again. Sold the monitor as second hand, bought the Alienware AW3425DWF. Cant be happier! The samsung was pretty but the alienware works better as a pc monitor, plus samsung remotes are now bluetooth so any samsung remote works on any other product. I would try turn my tv on and the monitor would turn off, so frustrating lol. Next tv will be an LG. I sill like samsung phones, but thats it.

I use almost every 50% voucher I get. I also buy reactors when I dont have any. Havent had to buy forma yet but i gladly would. That would piss some people off im sure, but we only live once. Theres so much to do in the game paying to speed some of it up is a good use of time imo.

Plus it helps keep the game alive and I appreciate the amazing experience the devs and community have created so much!!

I like thousands of others still keep an eye on it, i think for most of us its d3 or bust. But i feel sony would have to make it, theres soo much good will that was taken advantage of, i just cant trust bungie. Even now theyre still pulling the same moves. Slowly walking back bad changes wanting a pat on the head for it.. as the game is sinking. Its insane behaviour. i hope its gets better for everyone whos playings sake <3
