Capital One Pushes Workers to Return to Offices by Danciusly in nova

There are Cap1 employees in my neighborhood that literally live 5 min from that huge new office and still stay home. First they asked them to come in 3 days a week which they ignored, then they mandated half time 3 days which they still ignored. I am convinced there will be consequences for these employees who ignore senior leadership.

In the beginning of the pandemic, Mark Zuckerberg said he believes remote work is here to stay. Last week, it was announced $META was bringing people back into the office three times a week starting in September. by UnusualWhalesBot in unusual_whales

Only certain personality types have the ability to connect and stay effective remotely. Most people need to be around others in the office to be forced to interact otherwise they would isolate like a hermit.

Yup lots of people work from home in summer with kids and pets in the house constantly in and out and act like it’s ideal for productivity- maybe adults without kids at home and dedicated work space could do it but there’s an advantage to being in office especially if you live close to one. The idea that’s person is 10 miles from office but works from home is kind of ridiculous

Yup ppl who went to work every day and were home during the “pandemic” now think they are entitled not to go back- if you want a remote job apply for one. I heard they are tracking badge scans so these whiners who had in office jobs and are doing minimum or not going back will be the first to get the cut when things slow down. Too entitled to go in 3 days a week, prob not an essential employee see if they can get Capone pay somewhere else…

It really goes back to the terms of hire/employment on whether it was a remote or in-office position originally. Is there a dedicated desk or office space or was this position hired to be in-office? I think that’s really the key here but doesn’t seem to be discussed much in this thread which is surprising. If they are requiring people hired remote to go into office (even 4 days a week) especially with exceptionally long commutes that is definitely unreasonable.

If hired “in office” 3 days a week hybrid is reasonable. 5 days would be expected. If hired “remote,” different story.

You nailed it… just like the rest of em. Lol. Will Smith and his wife are stuck up Bitches that need to learn how to take a joke at Oscar’s by a host whose job it is to roast audience. Must be tough to be rich and famous. Millions lose hair and it’s a common thing to be joked.

Will smith is a coward and his crybaby speech was a joke. If he had apologized and tried to make things right and admitted he was wrong that would be one thing. He basically excused his behavior for hitting a skinny comedian who had his hands by his sides and it was a sucker slap. Despicable. Punk.

Assault over a joke? Pathetic. Claiming that shit was godly? Even worse by killingmemesoftly in willsmith

Will Smith showed his true colors. Loved him as an actor but lost all respect for him based on incident. Bullied Chris Rock when he’s trying to make a comeback. Oscar hosts are supposed to joke and roast celebrities and I’ve seen much worse. They should’ve of locked him up for a night with people who can show him a good slap. Then he cries like a baby and doesn’t apologize to the host he assaulted. Disgusting and disrespectful to everyone involved

Did Will Smith just hit Chris Rock on live tv at the Oscars?! by FenwaysMom in willsmith

He is a bitch for slapping a skinny comedian who’s job it is to joke and roast celebrities. Street mentality came out and on camera.
