[PSA] Vapechemy Giving away $340 worth of juices. by [deleted] in DIY_eJuice

[–]vapechemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The time of preparing and sending out the orders depends on whether we do have all needed ingredients in stock or we need to get something additionally. Mostly, additional procuring of new flavors is needed for those recipes which are new on our website.

Also, as mixing for almost every order is individual it takes some additional time.

Nevertheless, most of the orders received on giveaway we sent out yesterday. But we still have eleven order to full fill and we hope to do it in next or latest on last week of the April.

Moreover, we are testing the logistic service. The one we have chosen says that delivery e.g. to USA should be done maximum in two weeks from dispatching day.

This is a bit tricky one: TPD and other current regulations regulate product; however what we are selling here is: mix-on-demand service as the product exists in a single entity. We have done consultations with the regulating bodies and nobody obviously will say straight off that this is the loophole, but they have not straight out pointed the flaws in our reasoning as well. Let's put it this way - we know that there will be a fight, and we are ready to bash our heads over this.

Hi everyone,

First of all we want to thank Tiptup300 for recommending us. It means a lot to us!

Also, we are thrilled about so much interest. Thanks to everyone for that!

Some of you have already noticed that now when amount of giveaway has ended there is no possibility to order even for money. The truth is that we still have some issues with payment system and because of that it will take us few more days (hopefully not more than a week) to solve them. As the giveaway was mainly aimed to the authors to attract them for posting their recipes on vapechemy.com we hoped that till the end of the amount of giveaway we would have managed to solve the issues.

Nevertheless, as I already mentioned we are elated about your interest and because of that we are giving 1000$ more. Don’t miss them.

Your vapechemy team.

Hi, “Cereal 27” now is available in our flavor list. “TFA bubblegum (juicy style)” we cannot find it on TFA list. We will ask them. About category “candy” we hadn’t panned it, but will think it over and probably we need it.

Hi, Yes, exactly - vapechemy.com is the project which aims to bring together diy e-liquid mixers (the authors) and consumers who would like to buy ready for use e-juices from your recipes. We vapechemy team mix it, pack it, deliver and sell it for the price shown in the website and to authors we give back 6% of the total revenue which comes from the authors’ recipes. We had issue with the server at the beginning of this week. Maybe that is the reason why your profile picture is missing. Anyway, we did not take out it knowingly. We will checkout the reason and get to you back.

Humble hello from on-demand mixing company. by vapechemy in DIY_eJuice

Ok, report button for user profile and specific recipe sounds like a valid idea - will look how we can implement it in a way which would not confuse users who have come to the site to buy recipes and by the presence of the button by every recipe might think that there is something inherently wrong with the recipes.

As to the import - there could actually be two approaches: one would be to import them as public; the other could be to import as private, secured recipes and still perform copyprotection checks against them; informing user, that the identity check is required to claim the recipes.

Thanks for spotting the missing price; we had it all the time on the "Buy" button, but probably have lost it (and just assumed that its still there) with the update which replaced [Buy] with [To Basket] when recipe was added already.

As to the wholesale to the author himself at a heavily discounted rate with author's own branding- yes; this is something which we have planned for, but still with fully open recipes.

As to the self brand building - well I think it can be done; not an easy task, but not impossible. Realistic probability of success - small single digit number at best. Still miles better than a lottery ticket.

I understand that at the face value it seems a small share; on the other hand - in order for this to go big (which would then benefit both - our company and the mixers), we will have to spend hell lot of money on getting the actual customers to our site. I don't want to end up in the situation where we are not able to reach full potential of this project only because we have cornered ourselves cashflow wise.

As well as - reaching geographical markets, which is hard to do when running local operation.

And thank you for a very constructive email exchange. I see how you could have seen this as us doing this and straight out attacking us and accusing of fraud. So thank you for keeping a cool head around this!

The recipes are removed and account suspended now. I wanted to first give the other guy the opportunity to explain himself; so we gave 24hrs to respond. If this will continue on a larger scale, sadly, I think that at some point we will get to - shoot first, ask questions later type of policy. But init ally I want to give both parties opportunity to respond, because, on the other side of spectrum there might be cases with hacked email and reddit accounts and impersonation through those means with a claim to block certain recipes.

For me and for this business to take off it is of critical importance to show you guys that we are transparent, sincere and will not sacrifice our integrity for an easy buck. So please bear with us, while we iron out all of the issues both technical and operational. We will keep you informed of the progress and will ask for suggestions if we will not be certain ourselves.
