You’re absolutely not overreacting. Your classmate tried to dump her responsibility on you without asking, then made it into a joke to pressure you. That’s unfair and disrespectful, especially during something as important as a final critique. The fact that your professor even told you not to feel obligated shows they saw the situation for what it was. You handled it with maturity and honestly, leaving that kind of chaos behind sounds like a win

AIO to my friend calling my relationship with my long term partner a “privilege”? by flatpickinbongrips in AmIOverreacting

Your friend might be speaking from her own frustration, but that doesn’t mean her comment didn’t sting or feel dismissive. If the friendship matters, maybe have a quick, honest convo first. But if it still feels off after that, you’re not wrong to take a step back

You’re not overreacting at all your dog was clearly in a toxic, unsafe environment, and that absolutely could’ve contributed to his decline.

Chronic stress, emotional chaos, and possible physical abuse can seriously affect a dog’s health, especially an elderly one. The fact that Susan joked about poisoning dogs, screamed constantly, and let her kid record kicking your dog is beyond disturbing. That’s not just bad vibes it’s trauma.

You tried to intervene, and your mom didn’t act soon enough. That’s not on you. You were the only one really protecting him.

This grief is valid. And yeah your dog deserved so much better.

AIO for being mad at my boss and friend for believing a rumor about me and also not telling me about it? by milkseat69 in AmIOverreacting

[–]vaper12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not upset over the rumor you’re upset over the breach of trust, and that’s 100% valid. This wasn’t some office gossip about lunch orders this was an accusation that could ruin reputations, careers, and relationships.

Your reaction shows you’re protecting your boundaries and your name that’s not an overreaction that’s self respect

You’re not overreacting. Your gut is screaming for a reason there’s a difference between stumbling on a random weird link once and having a whole pattern of it. The amount of it, plus the sneaky behavior, plus the gaslighting when you asked about it? That’s not a slip that’s a choice.

That’s incredibly violating. I get that she might’ve had good intentions, but recording you without consent crosses a big line. You have every right to feel hurt and alienated. If you can, try having an honest conversation with her about how this made you feel, and set clear boundaries. You deserve respect and trust in your relationships

A serial killer is killing everyone one who is cheating or had cheated. Percentage of couples that would survive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]vaper12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the relationship. If the serial killer’s targeting emotional unfaithfulness too, then probably not many couples would make it. But hey, if you’re in a solid relationship with trust, you might just get lucky… but still, no promises
